Had dinner with work friends here and the kitchen delivered very high quality of food throughout all dishes of the $89 banquet.The team was kind enough cater for all the dietary requirements in our group and to top it gave us 2-3 extra dishes that weren’t even part of the banquet!Highly recommended!

Dined in with a party of 10 last Saturday night for my daughters birthday party. Could not have had a better evening in every way possibleWe had the banquet set menu that just kept coming and coming. Food was amazing and dietary requirements were catered for on an individual basis. The staff were very friendly and super attentive, we could not have asked for more.It was a really special evening which we all enjoyed so much. Thank you to Adam and his team who took such great care and delivered a wonderful and unforgettable evening for my family.

A gorgeous room to eat beautifully presented modern Vietnamese food in Sydney. An extensive wine menu made a good thing even better. Do not miss their [rightfully] famous chilli squid. The crab tartlets are a heavenly bite. Can't wait to return.

Red Lantern Restaurant & Private Dining Room
Had a private room set dinner for a friend’s birthday this week and was very impressed by the food quality and overall dinning experience. I was expecting the food to be too sweet for my liking but it wasn’t. The flavours were on the whole quite balanced, not too sweet or salty and quite delicious. The highlight for me was the blue swimmer crab cakes, the pan fried barramundi and the roast pork. We had a great time and happy to give this place a top review.

Wait staff were very professional, courteous and attentive. Ambiance is relaxed and not pretentious (slightly loud at times but comfortable). Food is phenomenal with every dish being quite unique and very fresh. Many reasons to return to this place!

A really enjoyable dining experience. All the dishes were cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The service was wonderful. The restaurant was full but not noisy. We tried the specials and my favourites were the rice cakes and the prawn sugercane. We also tried the 3 desserts and they were spectacular. I am not a fan of Asian desserts but these were at another level.

We are huge fans of Luke's restaurant in the Brisbane treasury casino and go many times each year... perhaps that means we had unreasonable expectations for Red Lantern. On our recent trip to Sydney, Red Lantern was on our 'must do ' list....we wish we'd gone somewhere else. The good...the staff and the service was impeccable. But the food whilst perfectly good was just that 'good'.... we had expected great and hoped for exceptional. The meals were very small and very expensive. The space was small and the tables were very close together. Despite no large groups and no seemingly noisy guests the atmosphere was very noisy. I'm sure that there must be many Sydney restaurants that would be better for the same price or cheaper for the same quality and quantity.

We were very impressed with all aspects of Red Lantern. The food we ordered had an incredible depth of flavour and was perfectly cooked. The portion sizes were very generous. The service was courteous and efficient and the restaurant itself had lovely ambience. We will be returning!

It takes more than talent to survive in Sydney hospitality for over 20 years. Beyonnd delicious food and great service, Red Lantern keeps evolving to give me more of what I want. These days you can wander in for a street food snack and cocktail in the front bar, dine with friends in cosy Indochine booths, or grab a takeaway from the Crown Lane Drive Thru. Still the best ever salt & pepper squid and Chef Mark Jensen gives a great haircut at The Cut Barber Shop out the back too too!
