Nanango Free Camp
Nice rest area but there is not camping here . Council could do alot to make it a more appealing stop . Lighting, bitumen, kerb and channeling footpaths new clean toilets , water tap or fountains and some colourful plants, some information boards could make it a nice entrance to the region . Come on council actually put some money into the community make it appealing it goes along way .

Nanango Free Camp
Great place for an overnight stay for the traveller, but don't forget to support the town, by buying something in the town and supporting the businesses.

Nanango Free Camp
The Nanango Free camp also called the Tipperary Flat Rest Area is an excellent overnight spot. The area is quite large with winding paths, lots of spots to park your motorhome/RVs. A lot of shady area and mostly grassy and hard ground. Watch out for a bit of wet ground near the road area, council has sealed it with portable traffic wooden bollards to keep away from soft watery area but besides that the camp is very hard and stable. The camp offers a covered playground with swings, Mikey bars, climbing fort sand flying foxes on soft rubbery ground. Surrounding the playground are several covered seating areas with table and chairs. There is an electric BBQ and bins everywhere in the camp. The toilets are clean and well stocked with toilet paper. Just check to make sure toilet door locks. There is a disabled toilet Nd men and women's toilets with shared sink outside. There is a potable water tap near the entrance of the park erected on white wooden poles. A dump point near the toilets facing the petrol station. Several historic statues and memorabilia around the camp. Park is well lighted at night and is near the road so a bit of noise is expected. There is a peanut van located at the entrance of the camp and offers a range of peanuts with different flavours manned by a lovely lady. Next to the camp is a.petrol station which in is very handy for small food items and fuel in of course however if you need to get a big shop, the town centre is a good 30-45 minute walk has there is IGA and several local shops in the area. Thank you Nanango for your awesome camp, would it be possible to get a shower in the future. Just FYI, if you do need showers. There are free showers next to the park near the library. The camp is Wheelchair accessible and Generators allowed.
