Cowra Health Service

I have never left a bad review on google before but my god I have never come across such an unprofessional hospital. The nurses, especially one in particular were so incredibly rude, very stand-offish, and seemed to have no care for patients at all. I don’t even know why you would go into healthcare if you seem to have no empathy towards your patients? Really disgusted as a healthcare worker myself to experience this.

If I could rate Cowra hospital zero stars I would. Absolutely pathetic. Our son was kicked in the chest by a cow (he worked at Moxey) the hospital turned us away, TWICE!My Dr wanted me up their yesterday as I've had alot of pressure in my head, high temp and high blood pressure and nothing will bring it down or get rid of the headaches. (Im covid free). I waited 1.5hrs after being triaged and still no one seen me, even after telling them I've had a TIA (which isn't thanks in advance) it's a mini stroke. They still didn't see me. I ended up leaving and still have no relief from my symptoms. Oh the lady nurse did say my blood pressure was normal but it wasn't it was high. Better off going to the local vet!

The staff at Cowra Hospital do their utmost to provide compassionate, professional care to their patients. The hospital is old, NSW Health make some ridiculous decisions, but the staff do their best in difficult circumstances. I have nothing but respect, admiration and appreciation for those on the coalface. Thank you for all you do.

Experience with attempting to get a COVID test - have to say a very poor 3 out of 10. I totally understand emergency get busy, but being spoken down to, dismissed by not only Mary, but another who answered the phone and in the back ground getting it that is W such and such just tell her I’m still busy. Hard trying to do the right thing sometimes

I am not surprised by the low ratings and comments related to this hospital. I have done two job interviews with them recently and they are the most unprofessional panel interviewers I have ever seen in two decades of working in hospitals in four states. They turn up late to the interview with no explanation provided and then make out they can't work the equipment when clearly it was working. They are either deliberately obtuse in not comprehending answers or they are in the early stages of dementia and trying to hide it. Given the extreme hostility exhibited by your staff in both interviews I can only say you are the most unprofessional people working in healthcare" and I am surprised the township hasn't run you out of town yet. When they tell you they can't get staff be aware that they are lying. My money is on dementia btw."

My @Subway sandwich was pieced back together at the emergency department here. They did an excellent job with this, although they had to call in an expert sandwich artist to make sure everything went smoothly. Hats off to you, boys and girls !

Waited hours in the emergency room and not even offered panadol. Nurses are shockingly rude and useless. I can't believe the place is still running

On the first of this month I was in a car accident I crashed my car into a tree and the nurses at the hospital didn’t know what they were doing they overdosed me on fentanyl and then asked my stepmum if I was breathing then after that they tried to say that amount is okay mind you I was almost unconscious from it

I actually walked out of surgical recovery unitWithout being followed up on .Disgusted by the fact they wanted a person from a lockdown area who also was in a covid hotspot area To enter the hospital as they could not be bothered with escorting me to front door to visualize who was picking me up.This was pathetic service during covid.And now will actively avoid this hospital.
