The Gold Standard Barbershop

The only words I will use to describe my experience at The Gold Standard Barbers in Watsonia is professional, meticulous, great energy and vibe and a awesome service every time.Jackson has been trimming my beard 3 times now and he is a gentleman and great at his craft.Jackson has a great sense of attention to detail.I always feel confident after leaving this great barbershop.There is the rest, but in my experience these guys are the best in the area.Keep up the great work team at The Gold Standard Barbers as you are truly the gold standard and far as I’m concerned.

My son recommended The Gold Standard Barbershop after he got his haircut by Teesh.Just got my haircut and all I can say is just found my new hairdresser.Teesh is just brilliant at her craft and a great conversationalist as well.Met Rich the owner too, an absolute gentleman. His other staff members we super friendly to chat to as well while i waited.The shop decor is amazing and if your into music and ink it’s worth going past the shop just to check it out.

Music (punk rock of course), tattoos, great chats and of course a ripper head job. Would highly recommend Gold Standard, the name says it all. Leave your triggers at the door, have a laugh while you get your thatch serviced. I almost want my hair to grow faster so I can come back sooner.

Had a father and son haircut with Rich. The best cuts either of us have had! He styled my 5 year old perfectly, and gave excellent recommendations to both of us for ways to change and improve our style.The shop is gorgeous also. Vintage feel, lots of paraphernalia, but not cluttered at all. An excellent experience, will be going again, and often.

This place is not just a barber shop.Sure, they'll cut your hair and trim your beard. Anyone with a masc aesthetic is going to walk out of here with their hair looking amazing.But the real trick is the vibe. From the moment I walked in to The Gold Standard, I felt welcome. The atmosphere is amazing, the team working there are hilarious and friendly, and the banter is top notch... Dare I say it, this place feels a little bit more like a men's shed, a safe place to go and chat and have a beer while you wait.Check out their before and afters on social media to see the amazing work they do, or just book online and pop into see the team. Everyone is welcome, they are LGTB friendly, and I reckon you'll get the best haircut of your life.

Visited for the first time a week or so ago and had a great experience.T was courteous, professional, listened to my requests and executed the cut exactly as requested. Good conversation, friendly and skilled without being snobby.Greeted nicely when I arrived and the whole place just had a nice, welcoming feel. Cool layout, too.Thanks, team.

Great cuts, great vibes, great prices. Why wouldn't you come here... Tish has been cutting my hair since I moved into the area in 2022. It's hard finding a good barber when you move suburbs but I was lucky to find the Gold Standard and won't be going elsewhere. Can't recommend more highly!
