The Good Guys Maitland

Sorry I interrupted your afternoon by walking into your East Maitland store. I wanted to buy a steam generator iron but was walked past by three to four workers and was completely ignored. Thank goodness for Betta Electrical down the road who welcomed me once in the shop and got the sale even though they had to order in the stock . It pays to offer service to customers when they enter your store, maybe you will do better if there is a next time.

If they don’t have stock in store, don’t bother. Delivery by “next week” became 4 weeks. All because someone forgot to order it in after we paid. No one took accountability. “Best customer service” according to their website. At least Harvey Norman delivered when they promised. Even head office didn’t care.

We purchased a microwave 2 days back and wanted to return it under the change of mind provision since we didn’t like the model after testing it at home. When we took it up with the manager he promptly refused to accept on the grounds that the package has been opened. We are at a loss as to how to test and have a change of mind without opening the package. !!!In fact we were told that we should have tested the product at the store prior to purchase. !!We are disappointed with the management at Good Guys Maitland.We would advise those going to purchase any item to clearly discuss the return policy with the management prior to purchase.Though TGG have a provision for return under change of mind they do not exercise it.

After spending more than 5k in this store in the last 2 years I will never go back. Their after service if you have a warranty Is abysmal. Always promises to call back and they never call back. Managers are the worst. Unless you are standing in front of them they do not care. Better off going to Bing Lee

I get the impression this store has a NO RETURNS policy. The manager was very aggressive towards me when I tried to return the faulty product for replacement. It was such a bad experience that I ended up giving the product away for free on Facebook.I wish I had read the Google reviews before shopping there.

My partner and I were delightful with the service provided by James W. We had an issue with another Good Guys Store in Sydney. We were looking everywhere frantically for a particular portable aircon model/brand. Until we found one in Maitland, we called them up straight away and was greeted on the phone by James. James' customer service was wonderful. He checked the warehouse to make sure they had it in stock, and it was. So we came up straight away to buy it. Even though it was a longer trip for us, as we were from Wollongong.We travel for the best service provided, and East Maitland, the Good Guys did.Thank you.

Excellent service as always. Good price on a freezer with a small discount. Can't go wrong at good guys.

75” TV delivered in this condition, staff in store prioritised in store customers over established customers calling with a grievance. I had been warned about this Good Guys and should have listened.Poor all round, and they won't deliver a replacement TV. They have stated “if I want a replacement I would have to drop off the old one and pick the new one up”.

If it was possible to give 0 stars to customer care and after sales service I would give this store that.It took them 2 months to get a vaccum cleaner back from the service center which was just 30 mins away.When I spoke to the service center they had told me that the inspection and report was done within 2 weeks after they got it and good guys maitland have to place a request to get it back , which would mean for over a month it was lying idle catching dust at the service center because the maitland store never bothered to request it back. Every week I had to call them up asking for an update. Sometime times no one answered the call. You file a report on their website and at the end it says someone will contact you in 2 days. But guess what ? That doesn't happen either.I eventually had to got another vaccum cleaner because it took them TWO months to give it back to me. At one point someone from the store even asked me to pick it up myself from the service center which is not my job.I asked the manager and staffs that the why did it take so long for them to contact the service center or give me an update - NO ONE had an answer.Just utterly disappointed with their service.Good guys lost a customer for life.

I bought a fridge at the black Friday sales. Was told I would get it delivered in 2 weeks. I agreed to that because they guaranteed it'll be delivered before Xmas. I paid in full. 3 weeks later no fridge. I rang them. 2 days later before manager called back, to be told no fringe till end Feb. Extremely poor service!!! No offer of a better outcome but to wait or money back. I would have bought els where in those sales if I had known. Now iv missed the sales price to buy elsewhere and have to wait again till the money is back into my account. More the BAD GUYS!!!!!!!
