Pettigrew Family Funerals are not bad a there jobs, but sometimes they are good and sometimes they just get it wrong.Prices $$$.

At such a difficult time, thank you so much for a beautifully organized service and to the staff involved, thanks to each and everyone of you for your caring throughout the week it was sincerely appreciated

We recently had my Dad's funeral at Pettigrew's chapel at Belmont. All of the staff were compassionate and empathetic towards us following our loss. The funeral was organised by Janet with the service conducted by Carolyn. They were both professional, as were the other staff who helped with the booklet, photo tribute and catering at the following morning tea. We chose Belmont for the service as the chapel can hold more than Wallsend due to COVID-19 restrictions. The staff managed the attendees and protocols quietly and efficiently. The service was live-streamed allowing others to attend virtually - with positive feedback on the quality and ease of access, and a recording of the service was given to us on a USB stick. Organising a funeral is emotional, however the staff at Pettigrews made the process as easy as possible for us, and helped us organise a fitting tribute to my Dad.

Unfortunately I can't recommend Pettigrew. We had constant issues getting them to refer to our mother by her name (she had a first, legal name that was never used, and a second name she used her whole life). At every single meeting it caused an issue, despite notes being taken each time. It has also been wrongly used on her grave marker, despite us having asked Pettigrew to change it many, many times. To choose a coffin, we were given a book without prices and then told our choice was nice and cheap". We had no idea how much it cost

We recently farewelled our father at Pettigrew Family Funerals at Belmont. I cannot speak highly enough of the care and professionalism of the staff from the first moment we made contact with them. The added difficulty of planning the service from another state was eased by the team's quick responses. The staff in attendance on the day of the funeral were outstanding as was the presentation of the venue. We will have no need to use Pettigrew's services in future, but will leave this recommendation for those who are considering which company to give their business to.

Pettigrew Funerals provided our family with so much support. We thank them for taking such good care of our family. The service was beautiful, meaningful and unique to our mother Shirley. Kim, Stephen, Jenny and Rachel the celebrant were so professional and caring, thank you.

Funeral was held with great respect and dignity for all involved.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 restrictions i was unable to attend the funeral of a family member. Pettigrew Family Funerals live streamed the service and my husband and i were able to watch it from interstate this morning. It was a beautiful service and under the circumstances, was the closest thing to being there in person, which brought us great comfort in a difficult time. Thank you.
