Please be careful about this lawyer, Adam Held! I had a very bad experience with Adam Held of Held Lawyers in a case of gross over-charging of property conveyancing matters. The official quote was about AUD 990+GST in their brochure emailed to you and as the case progressed, I was not told the fees will be about 3 times that! In one part of the work - the conveyancing job did not even complete and their bill was for the complete job. After many, many attempts for Adam Held to make the situation right, he did not acknowledge their fault, and simply refused to make amends or refund part of the costs to me. His law firm has overcharged me by about 3x the quote. I have launched an official complaint too to the Victorian Legal Services about this. Beware! If there is a ZERO stars option for this review, I would have selected zero instead of one.

Had a similar experience with this guy with underhanded overcharging techniques and also blatant mismanagement of the conveyance. Steer clear. If you already work with him, I would request detailed line by line costs on an ongoing basis. I had to file a complaint with the law society before we got a partial refund. Be very very careful when using this guy.
