Roy never turned up after promising to be at my home on two (2) separate occasions. On both days he simply never turned up and with no prior warning given. A total waste of my time (I waited all day). Roy failed to respond promptly to my numerous text messages and phone calls asking when he would arrive and then afterwards to additional messages and phone calls from me querying why he had never arrived as promised. Obviously no regard for the significant inconvenience he has caused me. It appears he prioritises other more lucrative work at the expense of clients like myself. Therefore, I DO NOT recommend that you engage Astra Appliance Services unless you want to waste precious time waiting for someone who ultimately may never arrive. Totally unreliable.

Convincingly diagnosed that my machine was not worth repair over the phone. Cost me nothing and saved me time.

I never write reviews unless I've been extremely disappointed or frustrated but I really have to recommend Roy - he arrived when he said he would and did a great job fixing both my Westinghouse fridge door and my LG washing machine and charged me a lot less than I had been previously quoted. I only rang Roy after being given the run around by another repairer - I will not call anyone else next time I need something repaired. Seriously, I'm convinced half of the google reviews are fake but this one is not - if you've been in a situation of being frustrated by an unreliable trades person, you'll understand the relief you feel finding someone competent and honest. Roy is one of the good ones.

Roy is extremely polite, friendly and reliable. A pleasure to deal with.

Very unprofessional said he will get back to me but never called me back and I had been chasing him for at least three days to install my microwave trim kit. When on the phone he was completely diss interested in the job. I think he’s allergic to money.

Highly not recommended repairer, does not keep to appointments. Empty promises and does not return calls. If you are desperate enough for this mans services, retain some payment as leverage. We made terrible mistake taking him as face value and paid upfront, never to hear back from him. Unprofessional in every way.

Roy is owner / technician, so if he has another job in hand, he will string you along for 2 days. If you need things done urgently try another company. Not impressed.
