Rude and intolerant service, refused to hem a skirt that had been worn for one day until it was washed and said Well It's Inconvenient For Us To, far to expensive and long wait on a simple job (how long does it take to hem a skirt? Five days it appears).

I drove almost 3 hours for a suit fitting that was booked in for 12pm at Looksmart Charlestown, but the store was shut. I also confirmed through email earlier in the week.I tried ringing several times when we arrived. I finally got to head office and they said they would get in contact with the store manager to contact me. I never received a call back.1 star is too high.

My go-to when I need to fix my clothes! Helpful and reliable service with affordable price. They have a great selection of thread colour which is important if you need to fix coloured clothes. Highly recommended!

My fiancé took her expensive suit here to have the hem taken up. They did a terrible job I am unsure what to do as the suit was over $500 and she has worn it since the job was “done” she looked stunning however it was very noticeable that the hem job was done poorly. I am tempted to go down and get a refund or have it redone.. not impressed at all..

**Update. Looksmart reaches out to rectify the issue.Thank you Ursula for honouring the 25% discount. Picking up zipper repairs on Monday.Had 4 pants altered. Alterations to clothing is not good at a cost of almost $100. Had a zipper replaced, not the zipper is not even at the top.I have an entertainment book for a 25% discount however as I didn’t mention the discount at time of dropping off items the discount is not valid.Poor customer service in that respect.Probably wouldn’t return based on that.

Went here to get my denim skirt taken in at the waist and they ruined it completely. The reason I liked and wanted to keep this skirt in the first place was because of its flattering a line shape but now the shape has completely changed from an A-line shaped skirt to a pencil straight fit and there is a floppy excess piece of fabric that sticks out from the side. It looks terrible. For $65 I want my money back or for the skirt to be fixed, I don’t understand why they would change the entire shape of the skirt.Also I tried contacting them as soon as I received the skirt and they have been non responsive.

What a beautiful job!Never used this service before and rather apprehensive as I had a very expensive pair of pants that needed to hemmed, don't know why I was concerned as the pants look amazing better than the original job. I would recommend Charlestown Looksmart to anyone and actually I did today I told a work mate to us them for an alteration she wants done on a dress, she's going there tomorrow.

They completely ran around my wife for her bridesmaid dress, we turned up to collect the dress only to find the shop shut. They charged a ridiculous expensive price and couldn't even get the job done

Incredibly disappointed with the service I received at Looksmart Alterations.- Paid $85.70 to get two pairs of pants altered. The first pair I asked to be taken in (which came out fine). The second pair I asked to be hemmed (which came out fine) and for the zipper to be replaced. Upon handing in these items, the lady rushed me to explain what I would like to get done and came across as very rude.- When I received the two pants almost a week later, there were loose, black threads on both pieces of clothing which I considered to be extremely unprofessional. The lady at the time did not make any eye contact with me as she handed me the bag, nor did she smile. She simply said see ya later" as she looked past me
