Horrible Council rates are ridiculousAnd we get nothing in return what a joke.

Serious misconduct by a local business in town relating to animal local laws and biosecurity laws was brought to the attention of the council through the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries. Nothing was replied to after a month so a follow up email was sent to the council with the Mayor & Councilor Peter being cc. After 10 days there has been no reply via email relating to this with this misconduct still occuring by this business to this day!What is the point having laws to protect animals if they're not even enforced or investigated!Absolute negligence!

So much broken glass and rubbish at Tolga sports reserve. Get the police to stop the party destructive behaviour of the islanders , we need a safer community. The litter at sports oval is out of control !

Lovely old building

Just wanted to say a big thank you thank you TRC Atherton staff for replacing the rubbish bin out the front of the three shops situated at 24 Main Street. We really appreciate your prompt action.

From notification of water leak to a repair done... less than 24 hours... a cheerfull group of workers fixed problem...Congratulations for a service well done..Love your work Atherton council.

TRC has been unreasonable. I bought a piece of land at Herberton only to be told that it was my responsibility, not theirs, to build an accessible road (not driveway) to my property. Since when were residents responsible for works carried out on public road? Plus I had a fall on the rugged terrain in front of the property. Now I have pain in my neck, shoulders and lower back. Will they take care of me when I am disabled as a result of the trip hazards and risks on council land? They tell me there is no money in the budget and have no funds for at least another 30 years for any road works at Herberton. If they have no money and residents have substantially less money , how on Earth will any improvements take place at Herberton. The place is struggling as it is. With low employment, minimal facilities and amenities; people at Herberton has suffered enough. TRC if your role is to support the community and yet you say you can't build a road 20 metres in length then how are you doing your job? Where is all that money going to?
