Magic Rock

Amazing place away from main tourist destinations. Most likely you'll have a place to yourself.It's a reasonable walk from the bend of Killeens rd, wont recommend to attempt the drive to the rock, because even if you have capable 4x4 part of the track is simply overgrown for vehicles. I'm not the healthiest person - 45 overweight quiet a bit and a smoker, still manages to walk the walk just fine. Will rate it as 5-6 out of 10.But it's really worse an effort as this place is magical.

NOTE: Google maps says you can drive there. NOT TRUE! Is it gorgeous? Yes. But the road ends where the blacktop ends -- trail is too narrow for even a quad.

There is a shortcut and if you google Beautiful View" on google Map then you can drive to a parking spot and walk just for 2 min to see the magic rock :)"

Like others have said already, there is no car access to Magic Rock, but if you're prepared for a 30min walk out and another 30 back, it's a beautiful place to explore. The weather was nice today and the rocks were amazing. I followed Finn's advice of how to get there. After turning left from the shed, you follow the track and then it is right to go see Magic Rock, but if you have time, go left as well for a different view. The rusty ladder that we saw looked really dodgy (to the right of Magic Rock).

A stunning rock formation that is hidden away from the major tourist attractions. I've walked from the start of this drive (where the road bends to the left) because my car would not have gotten up the sandy track. It was about a 2km walk each way. Walk to the top where the fence line ends, turn right and until reach a little building 1km down; make a left. Follow the path towards the coast and the Magic Rock will be tucked away towards the right.Keep in mind that this spot is dangerous; the cliffs can collapse, the wind and swells are strong, and for me, there was basically no phone reception.Beautiful spot, but just be aware of the dangers.

I didn't manage to come here as Google map brought me to a off-road route and it was a distance away. The photo show the non path route that I'm suppose to follow.Won't want my rental sedan car to be stuck at the mid of nowhere, turn to other place for sightseeing.

A very quiet place to visit with views rivalling the other well known lookouts. 25 minute walk (not accessible by car) one way from the end of Kileens Road. You can walk through the gate and follow the path along the property boundary fence which starts as sand but becomes rocky and uneven after the first 5 minutes, not recommended if you have any mobility impairment. If you don't have GPS take the path heading left as you reach the brick building on the photo, there is a partly exposed rock at this junction too which is different from the others. There are no barriers so take care at the cliff edges which can be weak and undercut, such as the first obvious outcrop on the left as you arrive which is hollowed out underneath in the middle. Sunscreen and insect repellent recommended and watch for the horse dung along the way!

Literally off the beaten track and a bit of an adventure to get there.Park your car at the end of Kileens Rd and then walk from here. Go through the gate that says Management vehicles only". First it's sandy

Beautiful spot. No toilet facilities. You will need to park your car and walk for about 25 minutes, around the farm fence. Don't try going up with you car, even if you have a 4x4, there are few narrow spots that will damage it, i will post pics of the walking track.Make sure you take water and a walking shoe would be good. Once there, explore the place with care, you can see some of those rocks are falling, and you don't know if you are standing on one that can fall, the cliff is dangerous, so, keep a safe distance. Summer time, watch for snakes

Ok a real review! From The ‘best view’ carpark it is a 45 minute walk over sand and rock . Take food and water. But it is worth it. Maybe Killeens road is closer but we couldn’t get our car up there.
