Had a terrific experience dealing with Nathan. I missed out on a car, within 24 hours he found me a better quality car, for an extremely affordable price. Nathan went above and beyond when I was dealing with him, driving the car out to my area for an inspection as I had no means of transport at the time, and ensuring I had a car before I started my new job. I highly recommend dealing with the guys from Mates Rates, they will be honest and upfront with you which can be rare to find in the industry.

I brought a car 5 moths ago which was never serviced or work shop test. Ray arranged a loan car because he didn't communicate properly with the repairer to arrange date and time to repair my car. The loan was car a old falcon which cost my fair bit on fuel and I was force to pay the toll cost. Each time I rang to confirm if car was repaired he told me it was repaired but it I checked it wasn't repaired . I was nt happy to pay for the extra toll and fuel cost. I wasted a whole week driving back to the yard and in that time I witness other unhappy customers. I wrote to Ray about the toll notices but he never bother to call me and never updated me about the repairs.I defiantly wont be going back or recommend to anyone.

I recently purchased a ford focus 2009 through them for a very reasonable price. I live in Melbourne, but still I was able to purchase this car through them and got it delivered to me with in a week. I do not know what other people are saying, I was dealing with Ray directly. He was always very friendly and very attentive.The service was VERY FAST and VERY RELIABLE. Ray was once again extremely professional and very very attentive towards your needs and made all the necessary arrangements. I would recommend you definitely go and check this place out if you need to purchase a car in the near future.

First time buying a car, naturally I was really nervous, but Mitch made the process a whole lot easier! He was super friendly when first meeting him and guided me through every step of the way! He kept in contact with my Mum and myself over the few days informing us of what was going on. I'm super happy with my car and can't thank him enough :) I highly recommend Mitch, his work is awesome and you won't be disappointed :)

Just recently bought my third car from Ray at Mates Rates in the past 3 years and once again I am extremely happy with the vehicle I bought. Have received nothing but the best before and after sales service and should the need arise for an upgrade in the near future I'll certainly be heading back there in search of another quality used vehicle.

STAY AWAY. They should close this place for being completely dishonest. i asked Jordan ( one of the sales Rep) if this car is painted and he said no. Luckily i have a paint testing device, i tested the car and one whole side of the car was completely painted, looking at the engine, the engine cover was replaced with a very cheap version, they said car had no accident but i can easily see the bonnet was pulled due to a heavy accident. DO NOT BUY THIS CAR nor ANY OTHER CARS FROM HERE

NOT WORTH IT. Purchased a car here less than 2 months ago. Wasn't expecting any issues so close to purchase until gearbox, brakes and turbo issues came up. Advised by worker these issues would be fixed at companies expense. After taking the car into their chosen mechanic and quoted $800 I received a call from a different worker advising the fixes were not covered under warranty and the previous worker did not recall stating they would pay for any of it. Sneaky non genuine staff and managers, providing horrible service and unable to follow through with statements. Will not be buying with them again and will be following this up legally.

Honestly wish I could give them no stars ! Had this car for 5 months and already spent thousands getting it fixed The car has only done 70xxxkms and only used to take my kids to school or run up to the shops .Every single part that seems not be be covered by the endurance warranty has broken since buying this even my mechanic said it’s fishy how it has needed new fly wheel etc when the ks are under 100xxxkms . My best hope is to fix it up and trade it in somewhere else and get a new car even tho I still owe $14,000 finance. Avoid this dodgy place at all costs if you don’t wanna go broke getting repairs done all the time !

Mates rates dealer more like Mates rates dodgy dealer. One after another problem and took car back numerous times for repairs. Things that should have been repaired were not repaired. Will never buy from here and will suggest my every other known person not to buy from this dealer. NO STARS AT ALL.Battery problem, wipers problem, gearbox problems, Rack ends problem.Assured me at the time of purchase that not to worry because it had 3 months warranty and no issues with the car. Which is not a big deal as 3 months warranty is compulsion but after that told me they cannot fix it because that will cost them.

I found Ray extremely professional as well as pleasantly personal. I can't thank him enough for the amazing time and effort he put into, emailing and sending me countless copies of service history, returning calls for my silly blonde questions and going over and above delivering the car to transporter to save me money!!! Fabulous car at a fabulous price!!! Love the car, way better than I expected. Thanks Ray great job. Am super super happy!!!
