Down Under Cruise and Dive

Very impressed with how organized this tour was, as well as how enthusiastic and helpful the staff were. Incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone traveling to Cairns. Worth every penny. Dom was my scuba instructor and he made my first diving experience very memorable. I really appreciated how thorough the instructors were, and how the instructors made us laugh to keep our attention. I will definitely be back!

This tour was INCREDIBLE. Seriously, we agree if we ever come back to see the Great Barrier Reef again to only go with these guys!! The team really made it with great attitudes and the right balance of safety and jokes, the vessel cruised through some slight choppy waters with absolute ease and the spots selected to go snorkelling in were top notch. Lunch was fresh and well portioned. With an incredible variety of coral and animals seen, really a key highlight from our honeymoon. Thank you once again!!

Excellent day out. The crew were very helpful and made the snorkelling fun, especially with us carrying old injuries to get in and out of the boat. The lunch was very nice and plentiful. Awesome fun, highly recommend.

We had an awesome experience with Down Under and their service was second to none. After booking online in advance, their team reached out immediately to confirm and with detailed description of what to expect. I messaged about vegan options for the included lunch and they said they would take care of us.Check in was easy, the boat was fantastic, and the safety briefing was thorough and entertaining. Lunch was beyond my expectations with several entrees, sides and sauces. The 3 vegan side options were clearly marked and delicious. They also provided a hot entree of rice, lentils, and vegetables. Other options were steak and seafood. The bar was well-stocked (at your expense).Now the reef: we were brought to two different locations - Saxon and Hastings Reefs. Both were amazing with lots of fish, interesting coral, and plenty of space to explore. The amazing thing about this excursion was the many options it provided. Snorkeling, guided snorkeling, scuba, a glass-bottom submarine, even a helicopter ride from a floating pontoon. Truly something for everyone!Finally the staff was great - very friendly and knowledgeable. They were quick to answer any questions, helpful at all levels for in-water activities, and it shows that they really are passionate about their work.There are lots of options in Cairns to enjoy the reef. For an unforgettable experience, Down Under would be a great place to book.

Went on a cruise to the Great Barrier Reef and stopped at two separate locations. Each was stunning and provided life long memories. The crew were incredibly knowledgeable and were available to assist whenever I needed them. We went snorkeling but intro scuba diving was an option that many people took advantage of (both are tremendous). Guided tours, trained photographers, and scuba instructors were all present for whomever was looking for them. My partner and I are both visually impaired and the staff navigated this with grace and ease. The food provided was what it needed to be and there was a full bar available. We went out on a choppy day so the boat ride to and from was fun for me (not so much for others). That said there were bags available for sea sickness and staff were extremely cognizant of this.We were traveling from MN in the USA and are incredibly grateful we landed on this locally owned business to help us see one of the coolest sights I'll ever see. 5 stars from me!

Unforgettable diving experience and an amazing day. The whole crew was very friendly and our diving instructor Joss was super funny and professional, we all felt very safe with him. Also they had vegan food, and the whole experience was not too expensive, so if you come to Cairns going on that cruise should definitely be nr. 1 on your bucket list :)

It was an awesome experience and a trip of a lifetime. Although the sea was rough, the staff on-board was the best in looking after everyone on-board, they took a headcount at least ten times during the trip. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly and helpful and safe in their hands. My wife is afraid of water, but the staff made it easy for her to experience the dive. The sights beneath are amazingly good with live fish and the color of the reef stunning scenery. Overall a great trip for us and long lasting memories.

Loved our day on the Great Barrier Reef with Down Under Cruise and Dive. We didn’t book in advance as the weather was unpredictable and they accommodated us on the day. The crew was exceptional, well-trained, attentive and friendly. They made the day a lot more enjoyable. We loved how they made everything so safe for everyone on the boat irrespective of their swimming abilities. The marine biologist took us close to the reef and even took pictures on my GoPro. Also, the boat was amazing, never felt crowded or anything. The food was yummy and the cheese and wine to wrap the day was a great touch. Kudos, you guys!

Best boat in Cairns. Awesome friendly crew, they are so happy! Great snorkeling, the reef is so beautiful and teeming with marine life. Phil jnr took me for my first ever scuba dive. Bucket list experience. Don't miss going if you're in Cairns.
