Max Brenner - Loganholme

Met a friend for after work chocolate fix, the brownie sundae did not disappoint!!! Was delish.Chatted to friend for literally just over 3 hours, our plates and cups were still on table when we left.The place wasn't very busy, no excuse.Reply to comment from Max Brenner.....clearly didn't read feedback. I did complain about plates cups and dishes still on table 3 hours after we arrived. Slack staff being lazy.

The food was amazing! Had never tried Chocolate Pizza before and well... that got absolutely devoured!The only little negative we had was that, we had to remind them that we were still awaiting our chocolate shake.

This review doesn't reflect the staff at the store. They were very friendly. Service was good and tables and area was clean and looked after. I won't mention wait times as they were much busier than expected for the two staff in at the time, so I'll give them some grace there. Obviously no real management presence, so not surprised to see a few other poor reviews mentioning this too.Never had a good experience at Max Brenner and going for a family outing on Sunday morning has been no exception. The menu and general selection really lacks imagination, everything is wildly overpriced, and it's fairly obvious there isn't much actually made fresh in-store. Crepes taste like they're out of a Coles packet and pancakes weren't even available on a Sunday morning, despite being the base for 1 out of 3 sizeable offerings on the menu.Cabinet cakes might have been okay if not for the fact that a single biscuit starts at $5, with a single slice going for $15-$17 for the most part of the range.Shakes were disappointing and there's very few options for flavours. Weird, unintuitive cups that are way on the small side for the price.This is more of a nitpick but it sort of shows the lack of real depth of what the store can offer. No affogatos? They sell ice cream and coffee and are meant to be a boutique dessert experience, and there's no option for an affogato?It's like a cafe trying to offer a restaurant's worth of options and experience, without actually having the ability to do more than make a coffee and a shake, and grab cakes out of a chilled cabinet.My tip? Save your money and find a nice local cafe that puts some love into their menu and their basic offerings. Brisbane has some great places to go to for sweets and desserts. This isn't it.

A nice selection of cakes and other sweets. The fondue for 2 was fantastic even if I thought it was a bit pricey. But it was very rich and filling. Would recommend for a place to enjoy a hot or cold drink and a wonderful piece of cake.

Unfortunately when we arrived 80% of the tables inside and out were filthy and not cleared. There was no rush and we were the second customers so unsure as to why they hadn’t been cleared. My family and I were there for an hour or just over. Only one table cleared out of many.Service was not fantastic either and $39 was paid for 2 items. Wow. This reminded me why I’ve not returned here in well over a year.Photos should reflect both in and outside as the state of them were the same.Floors were filthy and crumbs all over the chairs.

Amazing service from the staff working last night. They were very efficient and kind!The food was prepared to perfection as well! Well worth a visit !

Happened to be around for the opening, had these great big blocks of chocolate that were hammered up and shared around to the hungry masses :D was a bit of Fun! We tried some “Milkshakes” which I may have gone a bit over board with extra cream :S heehee. Over all cool store and Yum

Terrible service. Our server was very snippy when she asked to see that we had signed in for COVID. We had done so in front of her, she missed it.Restaurant was filthy. We have come to know that this Max Brenner always is. It's our local store and we are starting to hate it. It's uncomfortable to eat there. As usual we had to find the LEAST DIRTY table. The tables don't look like they have been cleaned in hours! We watched our server clear the table next to us and not clean the sugar and chocolate off it. Other tables sit uncleared. None of them clean.We pulled one of the 2 person table over slightly to share among 3, because we didn't want to sit behind its pair. Maybe 20cm. When our drinks were delivered our server was snippy and told us to put it back when we were done.There were 3 servers working at 9:30pm. It was quiet. All customers had there drinks and none of the servers were cleaning. No tables were cleaned for the entire time we were there.I don't like to sit at tables covered in chocolate and sugar. I do expect tables to be cleaned between customers with hot, soapy water, especial during COVID. I do expect servers to pull tables apart to clean between them, meaning there is never any reason to be snippy with customers about pulling them apart.Max Brenner is meant to be an upper-market establishment with a rich decor serving pricy but delicious chocolates and drinks. All other stores we have been to live up to this aesthetic. This store is run down, dirty and staffed by servers who have lost focus.

Service was great and the restaurant was very clean.To my naive suprise, the crepe cake is not made fresh and is refrigerated. It tasted a bit old and the texture was papery. Wouldn't recommend this and would definitely stick to the classic brownies and cookies.
