Electrical Energy Savers was a refreshing change to other companies that quoted for the job and I highly recommend them.Some people came out to have a look and quote, others just quoted from what they could see online, but all the quotes were pretty much the same with the same solution.Michael came out and conducted a detailed analysis of the site and designed a solution that was best for it. The solution was different to other quotes but he showed me how and why it was better, i.e. placement and sizing of the panels, the sizing of the inverter and the efficiency of the solution.The installation was also very professional.The end result is just fantastic. Don't waste your time with anyone else.

We have just had a comprehensive solar system installed in our house and wanted to share the experience with you. This is a bit lengthy, but we’re keen to cover off on what went down in detail. Solar is a big investment and, as we discovered, the more info that’s available, the better.We used Mike and Anita Payet from Electrical Energy Savers to design, source and facilitate the installation of the whole system. We can’t speak highly enough of them - they were consummate professionals, straight up, reliable and delivered every single thing they promised. After the three other Solar ‘experts’ we ‘tried’ to engage, it was a relief and pleasure to work with them.Mike and Anita tackle things a little bit differently to most. They asked us to invest a modest amount to establish a ‘monitoring system’ in our house. This determined where we used energy and, most importantly, when. Examples of what is now monitored, are the pool heat pump, the pool filter, air conditioning, underfloor heating, towel racks in the bathroom, the oven, stove and hot water system. This proved absolutely invaluable and really taught us all about where energy is being used and how to be more efficient without compromising lifestyle. Mike said that the cost of the monitoring system would pay for itself within a few months and that proved to be absolutely correct. We use less energy because we are much more informed. This process was the basis of the whole design. No guessing, no hit and miss. Unfortunately, relying on the last 2 or 3 power bills, while helpful, is a bit of a furfey and relatively meaningless.Mike isn’t on the tools anymore (his background is as an electrician), it’s all about system design. But, he has a number of installers that he’s been dealing with for decades that he recommended. They invoiced us directly after Mike and Anita’s guidance and involvement. With Mike’s help, we were easily able to compare with other quotes we’d previously received.The objective from the very outset was to determine the size of the system and what battery capacity we would require, taking night time and standby needs into account. We didn’t want to over or under cook it as, obviously, the costs are significant. That said it is absolutely scalable and for around $2,000, additional battery modules can be added as required with next to no installation cost. We future-proofed the whole house and have no doubt that we will be able to adjust / expand the system as required going forwards.The installers turned up exactly when they said they would, put in 12 hour days and the whole job was done in less than 3 days. They were very accommodating, respected the house and cleaned up after themselves. This is one thing we saw very little of during our house build and it was an extremely refreshing change. The physical presence of the system is also surprisingly small without affecting anything else we need the space for.Importantly, the pricing was also very, very competitive. We believe we got excellent value and the best quality that was available and within our budget.  Mike provided advice on good quality products to install and explained the difference in quality from the other quotes we received.  We were pleasantly surprised at the overall project cost.Monitoring post the install, including the app that drives it all, is straightforward and provides a lot of really interesting information. As well as helping the environment and saving some money, this is half of the fun! Ongoing support is also available, but there hasn’t been a hitch to date.We don’t give recommendations lightly, but are certainly happy to do so when deserved. We can recommend Mike and Anita wholeheartedly. They are great people, honest, transparent, and their approach is not sales driven, and you can trust them. This seems to be a little lacking in the solar industry.Dave + Bec

I have dealt with Michael since 2011 and have found him to be an honest contractor who will give you the correct information. He is always happy to answer any questions and fix any problems you may have. He has just upgraded our solar system which is now working extremely well for our situation.
