Very good place for a very tasty charcoal chicken, cooked to perfection. A great selection of salads that you can see have been made with fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and more than reasonable prices.

Received a recommendation that this shop was a hidden gem and the chips were next level.. Well..Ordered a chicken wrap and chips. Chips were just ok. But the wrap! TERRIBLE! and got both ends of the tomato! Oh boy. What a shame.

We as a family have been eating here for years. No banter or small talk, just food. My previous review said, Probably the best Charcoal Chicken in Melbourne. Huge variety of choice from Salads, to roasted veggies etc. Best Chips too. Not stingy with serving size. Unavoidable wait times because they are so busy.Unfortunately, whilst the food is great I am concerned about the food handling. I ordered chicken pesto salad and half a chicken, pack 4 on their menu. I wear glasses so I am a bit freaked out because I had eaten most of my salad without wearing my glasses and noticed something moving. It was a caterpillar. I immediately rang the shop to advise them to check the salad. The girl who took the call apologised and asked me to come in for a replacement meal. I went in the next day for lunch and my replacement meal and the owner basically only wanted to replace the salad and didn't even apologise for the caterpillar. He didn't seem to think it was a big deal. Made me think about his food safety practices.Food is great but I'm not sure if I'll be back there again.

One of the best Charcoal chicken joint in Melbourne.I have been going here for more than 5 year now.They maintain the taste and quality well. In the middle for 3-4 months ago they changed their salt recipe on the chips making it terrible. Glad they are back to the old style and its good.And thanks for fixing the terrible phone line.

Tried twice, chicken taste like a woolworths roast chicken, bland taste with a hint of chemical.Still to this day theres only one charcoal chicken I have had that doesnt taste so processed and chemical laced. I wony say which one here at risk of my review being deemed intentionally inflamatory.Nice people working here but you can just taste these arent trully free range pastured chickens.

This place is very clean and well-laid out.I have never had an issue parking just out the front.There is a very wide selection of food items, very well presented.The pricing is fair and the staff are very professional, and seem quite happy to be working there.Apart from the excellent BBQ chickens, there is a very large range of home-made salads that have become a favourite of mine.If your in the area, you can't go wrong with this place in my opinion.

I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve been here over the years, but it must be 50+ times over 12 - 15 years. It used to be (apparently) owned by an Albanian family that made their own secret herbs and spices and I would loudly and proudly tell anybody who would listen that it was the best chicken and chips in Melbourne. It can be a bit hit and miss and it all depends on who’s working. There’s 2 older guys (maybe Indian backgrounds?) who have been there for ever and they know exactly what they’re doing and run a tight ship. Front of house seems to be a revolving door of young and inexperienced girls who maybe aren’t up to the pressure when it’s busy. Today was one of those days, during lunch rush as the boys must’ve been on break or had the day off. When we eat this kind of stuff and make specific requests regarding crunchy chips and extra chicken salt, it matters. We don’t eat junk food that often, so when we do - we want it perfect. Chicken was cut into 6 or 8 pieces, not 4 as requested. Chips were not crunchy as requested. Only a little chicken salt on the top layer of chips. Not huge issues as the food was edible, but as I pointed out, we don’t eat junk food often so when we do eat it, we want it perfect. Today was an absolute waste of calories and the irritable girl with the spray tan didn’t help the cause. Worth checking out if the boys are in the shop, otherwise give it a miss. Disappointed rant over.

Accepted my UberEats order. Waited 40 minutes only to then get a notification “we cannot fulfil your order” How about not accepting the order upfront if you can’t fulfil it. Would you take an order of a customer in person, make them wait 40 mins and then tell them they have no meal? Very poor customer experience.
