The family and I stopped to take in the views and to check out the lighthouse. The view you get of Devonport and the surrounding area is great and to sit down and enjoy our lunch. We also got to watch the Spirit of Tasmania leave which was awsome. There is a viewing platform here to take in the views or you could go for a walk on the track.

One of the landmark of the north shore of Tasmania is this outstanding Lighthouse . It's so beautiful especially when we visited the place early in the morning during the sunrise. The following information is from the Lighthouses of Australia Inc. "The Mersey Bluff Lighthouse was constructed in 1889 by P Davern under contract to the Hobart Marine Board. It is of brick construction on a stone base. The lightstation originally included two brick houses

Great view and fresh air. We love the modern restaurant down at the beach where we can get everything we needed.

Easy parking to the light house. One of the best scenic spots in Davenport. There is incredible view of the ocean and this light house tower, great place to take pictures as well.

Lovely walk along the foreshore up to the lighthouse. People fishing off the rocks and depending on the time, The Spirit of Tasmania ferry coming in or out of Devonport. Occasionally see the Wallabies that live there

One of the must see and few attractions in Devonport, the Mersey Bluff Lighthouse.Beautiful panoramic views. It is an easy 15minute walk with a gradual incline and some straps from the beach and kids playground, or you can park just at the foot of the structure.Rolling grass hills surround and lead to the foreshore, nice for picnics or summer outings.Memorial to a young man to passed when saving a friend in 2010 near the seat to the sea. Do not swim. My condolences to family and friends.

A beautiful picture place, where cold gentle breeze on face reminds you how beautiful the surrounding is. The scenic view is definitely for capturing a photo and your smile. If you get the chance to see the baby kangaroos they will definitely soften your heart. I enjoyed watching sunset and moon rise here, I hope you will too. Have a blessed time.
