Great Western Hotel
Was all I needed for a good night's sleep and safe, dry and warm.The hotel had great meals at a good price. Great range of wines by the glass so I was happy. There was a friendly and happy atmosphere with lots of locals present as well as travellers.

Great Western Hotel
Lovely old pub with leadlight windows and an intimate feel. A great selection of wines but both food and wine a bit overpriced.Staff had no knowledge of the wines and got a bit snooty when asking for advice.

Great Western Hotel
Great local pub with lots of local wines available. Excellent beer garden to while away the hours over a glass of the excellent local wines. Meals were okay but not up to city standards. Room were clean and tidy, very 60s/70s fit out with a fair bit of overnight traffic noise (consider the cabin options if this is an issue for you, they're set back a bit further off the road and behind the main pub building)

Stopped in for a take away meal from the pub and had the best burger and calamari salad we have had in a long time. Huge servings and so much flavour. Will be stopping there again again but will be eating in there next time.

Great Western Hotel
Excellent meal, only spoiled by the flies buzzing around us whilst attempting to eat. Need to invest in ultra light zappers! None in sight. Lord knows what the higene would be in the kitchen based on the number of flies in the dining room.

Great Western Hotel
Good little stop over and the meals at the hotel were fantastic. Bit of noise from the passing trucks overnight but fine and to be expected. Recommend eating at the hotel for lunch or dinner. Staff were lovely.

Maybe the kitchen should get a description of each meal from front of house? I ordered the beef strogonof which claimed to be served with rice, sour cream chips and salad. It only came with rice.

Great Western Hotel
One word, Perfection! Away on holiday and crawled in after a tour of a museum at about 1.30 with a group of 12 and 3 dogs. We sat outside in the beer garden which was all fenced off so the dogs could be off the leash. Then the lovely, staff got some great tunes going for us and we got the fire blowing, the food being out just 10 minutes after ordering. If the dining wasn't great enough the food was spectacular! Great sizes for a great value! The vegetarian parma was the best I've ever tasted, steaks were huge and the seafood just delicious. We will for sure be back!

Great Western Hotel
Partner and I had dinner here on a Friday night, we both had steak, we both agreed that it was almost the best steak we ever had! Really good cut, thick, little to no sinew, cooked to perfection, easily pay far more for less in Melbourne.Really friendly and fun atmosphere all night, only downside........didn't win the meat-tray raffle.Will definitely be making the trip again.
