We have been favorably impressed by the results of The Chairman completing the upholstery of six dining chairs. This work was completed to the highest standards, on time and at reasonable cost. Any visit to the Workroom was always a pleasant experience and resulted in excellent advice given in a professional and friendly manner.We would recommend them highly.

I found the service poor and the job overpriced, they kept postponing my pick up until I threatened to pick my furniturepieces and take them somewhere else…. All of a sudden they were ready in a couple of hours, then the owner proceeded to argue with me when he tried to give me his card for repeat business and I said that I wouldn’t be back…… followed me out of the premises. Bring back the old owner (Leon), and beware the new owners of this business.

Recently I had a long treasured but neglected and damaged 3-seater couch rebuilt and reupholstered by Celeste and her team at Chairman Upholstery Sydney. I had basically written off this piece, which sat on an open verandah for years. But it was well made and cost a fortune in the day. So I thought I'd get a specialist to assess if could be brought back to life. Celeste was great to deal with. They picked up the large couch and disassembled it so as to assess the repair probability and cost. Celeste kept me updated and quoted me a final amount, which was accurate and fair. Overall an incredible job of high quality and finish. Effectively a beautiful brand new heirloom piece.

We had a very positive, helpful and supportive experience when we decided to reupholster our 40 odd year old 3seater and 2armchairs which belonged to my parents, so they have great sentimental value and memories attached to them. Celeste was very accommodating with my request to use 2lots of materials that i had left from my mother to use on the 2armchairs not only was she happy to use them, she also advised on which material to choose to match the 3seater. Not only Celeste is a wonderful person but George and David are another valuable asset to her business with their attention to detail taking care with every aspect of out experience with them. The Chairman did an amazing job restoring 2 old bridge chairs that were my grandmother's. They were in 'original' and damaged condition, they were recovered and French polished to literally bring them back to life. So emotional to see the amazing care and attention to detail, they are now pride of place in our home.
