I looked online at the menu before I arrived, I was very disappointed that the prices online where different to the prices at the pub. On their website $21.90 for a 250gm rump Inc chips & salad or mash and veg and sauce. But at the pub it is $28. It was steak night special $15 for a 200gm rump but it was $3 extra for veg, $3 extra for mash, etc.. Vegies were very average and the mash was not fresh. They should update their website. The girl at the bistro taking food orders was very disinterested and couldn't crack a smile if she tried. No table service either all self serve.

A great example of a great community. Great bar staff, friendly patrons and a comfortable place for a session. A visit to Coonabarabran isn't complete without a stop in at this pub. Also happy hour is a must do. Possibly the best I've ever encountered!!!

Imperial Hotel has a great old pub feeling with a nice bistro setting. The bistro opens at 6 on the dot but you can grab a drink in the bar anytime :). We had the cutlets, steaks and schnitzels and they were excellent. I went back for the cutlets. Service was quick and prices reasonable. Great place to go in Coona

Edited 19/6/23. I always give a second chance.Demoted to 1 star. Would be zero if possible. $23 for an overcooked burnt and dry schnitzel. $3 for a thimble of sauce. They are taking the p-i-s-s. Go elsewhere the review rating doesn't lie.#neveragain-----------------------5 stars for the bar staff. Ordered the scotch fillet. I think I got half a one cut in half. And for $32 was a very disappointing serving. It's a busy place so expect to wait a long time. Gravy was served in a plastic cup on the plate, I mean you used real plates and cutlery why do that. Meat was alright but my half of the fillet had the fat streak. $32 later and left a sour taste in my pallet. The 2 stars are for the bar staff who deserve 5. Zero for the bistro.

Dined at Imperial Hotel recently, staffs were extremely friendly, especially the guy at the bar. He really knew his stuff and suggested several different types of beers to my friends whom were unsure about what they wanted to drink.Tries their sunday roast, was nice but serving size was slightly smaller than expected but it wasnt bad for the price.

This is a review of the pub and the bistro.Imperial Hotel is a great country pub and somewhere that I enjoy visiting whenever in town. A pub frequented by friendly locals, this is the place in town to enjoy a cold beer after a long day - especially if you have completed the Breadknife and Grand High Tops walk. There are also pokies, pool table, keno and TAB. The outdoor area has large tables also. The Bistro is exactly what you want, good food cooked fresh, reasonably priced and good portion sizes. I would recommend that you get the gravy with whatever you order - it tastes excellent.

Quick stop on the way through town, the Imperial was a solid country pub. The food was decent for a lunch stop (maybe veg or salad is a dinner thing?). They had a good kids area ad well

A lovely country pub. The food was spot on and quick. The licensee (Jackie) was lovely to chat to and took the time to have a chat. We'll definitely be stopping in here again!!! Thanks.

Popped in for dinner on a Sunday night. Grabbed the $15 Sunday Roast and a chandy. Had a great chat with a couple of the locals too. Friendly staff, yummy food, refreshing drink, and made a couple of friends. Good night all round.
