I read the comments here before going today and finally understand why there are so many low star review. Compared to the customer service of Service NSW in the same suburb, theirs just gave you some kind of feeling like supremacy or arrogance. You cannot say they're unfriendly, but the way and tone they express just ruined my day in such a way that I have to leave this probably useless comment although I'm usually too lazy to do that.

I visited this centrelink few times. Overall, it is OK. Most staffs are quite helpful and friendly. However, there is a customer service lady who are supper super rude. She don't understand how to speak politely and don't have basic manner. She really need to understand how to do a good customer services. Don't understand how can she works there. I was trying to say I need to ask couple questions and she stop me on the half way. She said they are only limited to answer few questions???????It is really ridiculous.

Asked to help reset a mygov account, said they did but it did not work. Also wanted a covid cetificate and gave me a certificate of someone different altogether.

Absolutely horrible customer service and staff overall. Staff are extremely rude and so are the security guards. I used one of the telephone booths at the centre and waited an extremely long time for somebody to pick up. Just when somebody picked up, I was told by one of a staff and a security guard to end the phone call because they were closing up. I completely understand this but the way the staff and security handled the situation was extremely appalling. The security guard in particular, was extremely rude and impatient and continuously kept rushing me out the door. Definitely would not recommend visiting Hurstville Centrelink as you will inevitably deal with horrible staff and customer service.I also witnessed staff treat clients, especially those whose English is not their first language, poorly i.e. using a patronising and condescending manner. Disappointing to see some staff treating others with such a lack of respect and compassion.

Terrible! I came last Friday at 4pm to hand out the form, the front receptionist which is a western man was very rude threw my form on one desk and said they can't accept any work otherwise they can't finish on time! Today I received a call and informed me to come and supply the ID. The front desk Chinese lady acted like every body own her $1million! Oh my good! Why we pay to these unpleasant people to work for us!

The specialists were helpful but the lady at the reception was the unhappiest person I've ever seen. She definitely needs to be trained for some basics such as politeness and customer service.

Went to Centrelink & Medicare centre in Hurstville, my experience was horrible. I realized why so many people have given low rating. Staff misguide people's here as they don't wanna do work. Waste almost my whole day in such a pandemic time. I guess this was one of the worst experience from a service provider in Australia. The next door service NSW provides far better services than these lazy service Australia staff. I wish I could do my Medicare work also from service NSW.

Hard for me to believe that there is no toilet?! People come from far distant and need go to toilet, very embarrassed. The crews there need go to toilets too, right? Or is the government so poor couldn’t afford public toilets for the people going there?

Visited Centrelink Hurstville today. Check in was quick and easy. A big THANKYOU to Vivien who helped me with scanning my ID Documents and updating some personal details. She was very helpful and nothing was a bother to her. As this was my first ever visit to a Centrelink Office it made the process very easy. Thanks Vivien for your time and patience.
