We and our friends (group of 5) wanted to come in for an evening round of snacks. When we tried to call and book a table in advance, we were forced by the Indian lady on the phone to select our food and drinks from the menu over the phone. She kept saying her restaurant closes every evening at 6 pm. When we arrived a little before 6, we realised that was not the case. There were other guests seated inside that had just begun to order from the dinner menu. When we suggested we would like to sit inside to have our meal, she informed us that she had already packed our food as takeaway and that she would not be able to provide us a table inside. All this when the occupancy inside was only 20 percent. We were forced to stand on the sidewalk outside to have our paper cups of tea and samosas. The masala tea was the worst we have tasted. Sad that an Indian restaurant tried to pass off sugar syrup as traditional masala tea. We were not provided even with the most basic service of paper towels by this woman, who was downright rude and standoffish. Disappointed to see one Indian treat another Indian (or for that matter one human treat another human) with the utter lack of decency or respect. Bad food. Bad service. Worst attitude.

Oh wow! We had such a delicious dinner. The flavours were amazing. We mainly had vegetarian and took the “chef recommended” options and were absolutely delighted with the food. Can’t wait to go again.

Really happy with the food! They cater to vegans which meant a great deal. Serving time was quick considering how much rush they had. Reasonable prices too. Will definitely be back!

Food was very average. It is already overpriced, then they add public holidays surcharge, credit card surcharge and a dollar for paper bag to carry your food. It feels like they are trying to squeeze as much money as they can.Usually you forget the price if the food is extraordinary. It wasn't. Tandoori chicken was overcooked and very dry. There was no tandoori flavour. It tasted more like bland roast chicken. We ordered couple of curries, which were average. We had to add some more seasoning to make it taste better. We went there on a good Friday. This place was one of the very few places that were open. It still wasn't busy. We should have taken the hint.Still giving three stars because this restaurant is Celiac aware. It is very good to see a business making an effort to cater for people with this rare dietry restriction.

Neat place. Very good quality North Indian food. All the dishes were very good, especially the Naans. Service was very good and fast. No issues at all.

Once again Gurus Indian food was amazing. This is becoming our regular restaurant when craving Indian food. I have Ceoliac Disease and I never get sick here. The chef,/owner knows his stuff and delivers gluten free entrees and mains. He makes his own gluten free chickpea flour flat bread that is so delicious. Eating here is a must, especially if you have dietary issues .

WORST INDIAN FOOD I EVER HAD!! Paid $60 for 1 person meal and sadly had to throw into the bin. Naan bread was like a chewing rubber, started having toothache after eating half bread. Curry taste like a sour paste of spices. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!!!

We had Railway Goat Curry which was tender and delicious with naan bread and steamed rice. The sauce worked very well with the naan bread. Nothing was left on the plate!! We also had Achari Aloo Baingan an eggplant chat potato stir fry, this was delicious and not overly spicy. The decor featured peacock wallpaper. Indian music played softy in the background. Gurus is licensed. The restaurant was popular with South Asian customers. Certainly a restaurant to return to.

We had a three course take away, it was EXCELLENT! Right amount of spice/heat, packed with flavour and served quickly. Looking at some of the vitriolic comments I have to take a totally opposite view. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
