Very busy hostel. Not very clean. Lots of people working and using as a base. Good info points to guide you and lots of social space. Tiny rooms. Bathrooms with not great privacy as doors have gaps (womens bathroom looks out onto back car park so felt very self conscious) security good. All get your own keys. Lockers provided. Cool art everywhere but had overall feeling of not very clean. Wouldn’t go if your introverted or need your own space. Good party/social/busy hostel.

The most horrible beds that shake at every move you or your neighbours make. Doors slamming, and people shouting with no respect for people who are sleeping, even at 2am. Taps not working and also leaking.It is so bad’y run down. The walls are so thin you can hear everything from outside as well. All in all a terrible experience really not worth the money they ask for.

I’d probably bump this up to a 3.5 if I could - good location, I was really happy with the dorm as the bed was a reasonable size and it had privacy curtains. There was also a small sink in the room. It wasn’t the most social hostel and areas like the bathrooms and kitchen needed obvious cleaning. Overall a solid stay.

Nice hostel. It’s a bit cold but there is a nice fire in the common space. The travellers are amazing, good vibes and happy to have stayed here.

Pros- close to venues for Dark Mofo (city hall, odeon, library, Murray Street for Night Mass)- staff are really friendly, helpful and welcoming-Cons- bedrooms are all upstairs where floors are really creaky and every footstep is echoed through the hallway into the rooms. Room number 3 was probably the worst given the one set of stairs was right next to the door, and the bed - so there was a lot of foot traffic and noise that passed us. Beds were creaky too. Bring ear plugs, you'll need it...- rooms are crammed with beds, with the addition of other people's belongings strewn around the room it can get pretty cramped to move around.- during dark mofo, attracted more party types to come stay - which when combined with echoy floors and crammed spaces, it did impinge on sleep and relaxing- not well aerated in rooms, communal area, kitchen and bathrooms...the entire building really- shower stalls had corrugated iron walls separating the stalls, some of the walls had oxidised leaving a reddish brown stain on the floor which wasn't sightly. The shower floor also wasn't separated from the bathroom itself, meaning the floors were often wet...I personally found that pretty yucky.

Probably the best hostel in Hobart. The staff was very friendly and I met some great people there. The rooms were a little bit cold though. The hostel felt like a home, with people hanging out together by the fire, watching a movie or even playing some games. Would highly recommend !

Bad customer service. A couple shared one of the single beds in the room for the few nights where they’d obviously only paid for one bed. We’re having arguments in the middle of the night and storming out, slamming doors, shouting crying etc. Reported it to the German girl working in reception who said “what’s the worst thing they’re doing not paying for two beds?” I replied “I thought there was no guests allowed? Or what’s the sense in showing our passports when we check in” to which she replied, you can report it to my manager if you’d wish. Is that not her job?! Didn’t feel comfortable there after that. Would not recommend.

Great people, great drugs ,the shrooms were on point and the pool table was fun. Plumbing was a bit dodgy. The hot showers were good fun with the see-through curtain. The frogs were kinda creepy but I liked it. The exit sign was really Bright but overall a really nice place:)

The best hostel i went in Australia, the feeling with everyone is amazing, i am sure you will Share many good moments in this hostel ! The Share room is so cute like the people inside this hostel !And the housekeapers do a good job so it's clean every time !

Cool vibes, like an old school tavern. The staff were above and beyond. The 8 bed dorm was tiny though, barely enough room for all our bags. The kitchen looked clean but had tons of flies. And the hostel is very noisy at nighttime. But overall a great value and location
