Drift Palm Cove

The apartment room 1309 had a nice view , comfortable beds and nice linen BUT…..First on the Apartment 1309.When we arrived, we found a dead bug in the cabinet where the glasses are.Mould was on the ceiling in the lounge room on the ceiling near the AC vent.Mould in the ensuite bathroom above the shower where a small piece was placed which was also hanging off the ceiling.A big draft and wind tunnel was coming from the front door when we sat on the lounge, we had to place a towel to stop the wind blowing directly to us and our faces.Washing Machine rubber seal had mould, this would not have been cleaned for a while.Drift Pool and BuildingWhen we arrived the pool area was fenced off due to staff Re-Staining the decking around the pool area, for a few days.No sun around the pool which made it not pleasant.We could only access the pool via the toilets section with the white swipe card, when the pool was open.The toilets/ change rooms next to the pool area smelt horrific, like a public toilet Urine smell. There was not way I was going to let my family use them.I will not be staying here again or recommending this place to family or friends.

This place is in a fantastic location. So close to all the cafes, restaurants and pubs. It is an easy walk to everything. We loved walking down to get acai bowls and enjoy this on the beach for breakfast. The beach is directly across the road and easily accessible. Fown the road their is a netted area for safer swimming. The apartment had a good layout with a full kitchen, good bathrooms and living room space. The pool is really big and a great place to relax and cool off. Unfortunately, our room was not super clean, our doona cover had marks on it and bugs were in the sheets. The late night receptionist did her best to rectify this and solve our problem. Although this was disappointing, it did not detract from our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We stayed at this place from the 3rd to the 10th of January 2023. I found it very clean and the majority of staff to be nice except 1 blond lady working at reception. We had enquired about a booking for green island and had an email sent to us on Thursday. On the Friday we went to reception to ask what the booking was for as the email had a pack 1 to 5 options but did not clarify what the pack the booking was for. Unfortunately we didn’t get the nice lady we had the day before and had some blond lady with an extremely sour look on her face. All she she kept saying to my wife in a rude tone is this is an actual booking thats been paid for and demanded we pay immediately. I asked what the booking included as there was a number of different packs that we could have chosen but it was not clarified. Her response “its what you called up to book for” I explained we didn’t call up and book anything and we had only been in the day before and asked if we can get some information sent. Her response was “ im done talking to you” . My simple question was obviously too much for her. If it wasn’t for this rude lady i would have given the place 5 stars.

The pool and gardens are amazing and the staff are very friendly and very helpful.The unit was great, very spacious freshly painted, well furnished and everything we needed.It had a great view of the pool, spa and BBQ area.It is a jump over the road and you are on the beach and an assortment of cafes and restaurants to choose from.If want a relaxing holiday Drift Palm Cove is for you.

Location is greatStaff were helpful and always had smiles on their facesThe pool was that cold we were unable to swim in it. Shaded by the trees all day long. Musical chairs to get some shade on the deck.Hallways to get to our room were like ICE. Many people staying were complaining.We stayed for 6 nights we believe their should be 1 house keeping / tidy in that time frame.No PowerPoints in the (second) bedroom for a 2bdrm. Just a note if you have a baby with monitor etc. Luckily I always bring an extension lead.

The room lacked cleanliness particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. When I checked the bed there was no mattress protector on it (not good at all). I then found a mattress protector scrunched up in a cupboard and put it back on the mattress.These premises very much need refurbishment and much better housekeeping.

One star down due the following reasons:Lack of basic cooking materials such as oil, salt and pepper. Full kitchen equipment except oven. The electric stove took a while to heat up a pot of water.We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and one of the rooms close to the balcony is a little stuffy and needs a fan install.Other than the above, enjoy the stay. And highly recommended to families with kids or with a group of friends.

Excellent serviced apartments. We had a beach front view which was a great choice for those days it rained a bit too heavy. Front desk was very helpful and the experience was smooth to check in/out.

I had a nice experience here, didn’t swim much tho. The room was unclean but beds were made and the room wasn’t in terrible condition. I had a nice beachfront apartment 2 bed. The view was AMAZING
