S+S Hair & Beauty - Lutwyche

I had called up the day prior to book two hair treatment appointments this morning for my partner and I and was told that there was not going to be two staff available at the same time. As we have come here several times in the past. So I asked and confirmed that one of us would just be able to go after the other and was told that that was possible and that that is what would happen, so I booked us in. Upon arrival, we were informed there was only time for one appointment and the next would not be available for an hour or more. My partner and I were looking forward to doing this, as it’s usually a nice, relaxing experience. There’s nothing to do to wait around at lutwyche for an hour, so of course that option isn’t okay. Instead I’ve told my partner to take the one slot and had to book in myself at another location closer to where we’ll be doing errands later in the day and am quite annoyed that my partner and I will not be able to do this together, relaxing with our coffees as we had planned. It’s especially frustrating that we had booked in an confirmed these plans with the staff.

Very unhappy with the service at this salon. Asked for 2/3cm to be taken off only to have 10cm taken off, no communication or clarification with the client. Would not recommend this salon to anyone.

I did half head foils today and first I tried to choose the colour I would like to achieve and the Hairdresser Manager said very clear - first she has to bleach my hair to see if it’s opening to have toner after it and I can choose it. After she has done the bleaching she came up with colour for I can choose but she pretty much has choose for me something I would NOT ask for it! Also she was telling my hair it’s Black and can’t do any blonde with her 7 years Hairdresser experience. First my hair it’s not Black!!!! It’s Brown and other I have done foils in my hair for 20 years of my life! She got the wrong colour and I paid almost $300 for 4 hours and the only think I really appreciated was the Hairdresser Tenasie (helper and not the manager) that gave a an amazing scalp massage and was very gently and great all the time! My hair looks very ugly and she ruined my day and my weekend now I have to get someone else to fix it! It’s very traumatic!

I have been to this salon 3/4 times, there seems to be a high turn over of staff, different people all the time, although I always go on the same day of the week. I have been happy once with the cut, I have been giving the benefit of doubt since the second time (not very happy with the result) and went back a few times after the first visit but I have been unhappy since and don’t think I will go back. Very unprofessional, seems that the person that cuts your hair has just finished school and has zero to no experience. They don’t listen to your needs and the hair cut is very low quality, can’t even cut straight or check length it’s even on both sides ! Also I get charged a different price all the time which I find very weird, as I always ask for the same treatment but every time I get told a different thing when questioning the price!.I guess it shows that you get what you pay for!

I booked a 9am appointment (when the salon opens) but still had to wait till 9:20 to be seen. Then i was put in the hands of an apprentice who did my color after trying to comb out my hair which was really uncomfortable as i had some knots. I had to ask her to stop as she was hurting me. Then i received a complimentary shower whilst getting my hair rinsed. Half my makeup was washed off. Not happy. Then i had another lady straighten" my hair but it was lumpy and she took such large sections that it was not smooth at all. Last time i ever go to a S and S salon"

Always have been getting my hair done there. Very reasonable price

Absolutely ridiculous and disgraceful service today, and I use the word service very loosely, wouldn't even give one star if I didn't have to for this review. A lady I support was getting married this afternoon so we booked an 11am appointment on 11th May, so over two months ago, to get her hair blow-dried and set. We turn up today as booked, only to be told the booking wasn't in the system. I showed the booking confirmation and the lady we spoke to went to another worker who seemed entirely disinterested and came back, we were gestured inside to sit being told there will be a bit of a wait as we're busy"

My partner and I walked up to the shop to see if he could get a walk in hair cut. We were greeted buy this poor girl that did not want to talk to us or wanted to be there by the look of her face and body language. It wasn't a pleasant welcome at all, she definitely was not a people person. Waited a half hour with one customer in the shop getting their hair coloured by two girls. Got the hair cut, which was actually a nice cut by the girl with the purple hair. My partner said he won't go back. Hopefully the young girl who greeted us will find her way to being happy or even change jobs.

Morgan is really good at what she is doing. Very professional. I have never been happy with my hair like this time. Will come back
