Came here with my partner and was not impressed. Since it was good Friday we had to purchase a meal each to be able to buy beers (all good) which we did. The blonde girl with tattoos made us feel like we were bothering her when we had questions about the menu options. When I wanted to buy my second drink (which apparently was the limit of drinks) I was told that they haved stopped serving because they needed everyone to be out at 5 pm. This could perhaps be fair, but I would have appreciated a heads up since it was over 30 minutes before closing time, especially given the conditions of purchase. The food was also a huge disappointment. My chicken parmigana was incredibly soggy on the bottom and maybe not cooked? It could maybe be because of the sugo but the combination of the soggy crust and pink chicken was not great.. Normally i would have addressed this with staff but the overall disinterest and rudeness made it feel pointless.Positives was the venue and maybe beer selection but that will not bring me back!

Went there for lunch on weekday. It’s not busy but still waited for ages for fish and chips — one fried and one grilled. The taste could be better.

Went there tonight for the first time, overall good experience. Wouldn’t go out of my way for it (hence the 4 stars) but definitely worth if your in the area and looking for food nearby.Bartender there had a very cool, warm attitude! Shoutout to him, never got the name all I know is he used to have pink hair. Really polite even in the face of a rude customer and made good convo :))

Pre covid loved this place. Would visit at least twice a week. Now they have taken away half the menu, taken away daily specials and lunch menu. Now paying restaurant prices for sub standard food. Last time the 3 kids meals came out 20 minutes after adult meals were served. That aside it's a good drinking pub

Unfortunately this place has gone downhill. Been coming for years but no longer. Food (that we did get) wasn’t great, such as burnt lamb chops. Waited over an hour for a meal because the “Don Russell” group got priority. Ended up getting a refund on some meals that never arrived. Then have a very rude staff member address us because a 2 year old wasn’t wearing shoes and speak to us like children and tell us “off you go” and pointing to the door when we complained. We were forgiving for a busy night but it doesn’t excuse the poor service and bad meals.

I thought I would write this review, to give the proprietors of Lakers, some honest feedback of their food and service.Waited at restaurant check in for quite some time - was just about to walk out when someone came to seat us.Ordered drinks and food from the app - 1 beer and a coke took 20 minutes to arrive.1 main dish turned up well before the entree, the other main eventually showed up.Noticed that meals were sitting at the pass for long periods, with out being delivered to tables.Food quality overall and service was ordinary and disappointing.I ordered a pizza which was practically inedible and looking at the reviews, mine was not the first. The main bar area TV’s were way to loud. We overheard nearly every table in the restaurant say that they were glad to get out of the noise, which you could only do in the far corner of the restaurant..This was my second visit in the last few months and I thought that hopefully things had changed. Unfortunately not - repeated issues that will loose Lakers customers.Looking at the recent reviews of this venue, the writing is on the wall, I would say.I would struggle to recommend Lakers to others and this place is nowhere close to the Lakers of old.
