I'd give Greg and Jodie 6 stars if I could. They did a super efficient job moving my Mum - but it's the sensitivity with which they did it that was exceptional. They were very caring and empathic to all our family - we felt we had an extra brother and sister helping us through what could have been a painfully awful task - but wasn't (thanks to Jodie and Greg).

Our parents have moved several times over the years, however this is the first time we looked for assistance and we believe the most important move. Downsizing from a large 4 bedroom home to a small unit in retirement village was a huge task. On top of this our mother was declining from cancer quite rapidly and we knew that a funeral as well as selling a house and moving were all on the cards at the same time.Working with Jodie and Greg at such a difficult time in our lives was a blessing. They are just beautiful people who saw a need and they treat their clients so respectfully and even gently at difficult times, whilst always moving the project on bit by bit when required. They really have their system down pat.As the eldest daughter and the only child here in NSW until my younger sister got out of quarantine due to COVID restrictions & flying from the U.S., I was quite involved in a lot of the earlier decluttering and working out what needed to be packed - but only as much as I wanted to be. Jodie and Greg worked alongside me and my Dad.Greg and Jodie are fabulous people to work with, amazing with their knowledge of where unwanted items can go - from old x-rays to old clothes. We were so impressed with their connections e.g. women's shelters and their can do" attitude about everything.They were very sensitive to us around the funeral and very flexible around when we could and could not be involved or just needed a break. Greg and Jodie were consummate professionals, making my elderly mother's move infinitely smoother and saner. They offered gentle and sensitive guidance on downsizing, and donating cherished items, managing the emotional and physical stress of moving. And having them unpack and set up the new home to make it feel familiar and inviting at the other end, was the highlight of the process. Thank you Burtons!

Greg and Jodie were delightful to work with in carrying out the oversight of a very detailed removal. We could not have managed without them. They very graciously took initiative, were innovative, organised everything in a timely manner . Did all the work when they said they would. My family and I had a very friendly association with them, we certainly received value for money.

I can’t recommend Serendipity Moves highly enough. Moving is stressful enough, but living interstate from my elderly mum made it even more difficult for us. And then Greg and Jodie came to the rescue.What a delightful couple who are warm, genuine, compassionate, patient, efficient and totally organised. They helped both mum and I feel totally at ease with the process, including being able to move excess furniture and homewares on as she downsized. The biggest bonus was turning up at the end of the move day and everything, and I mean everything, was done (not a box to be seen) and her new place was looking beautiful and homely from the minute we walked in.Not only was the process excellent, Greg and Jodie and their team were amazing. Well where do I start? Serendipity Moves has been my life saver. I could not recommend them highly enough. And I certainly could not have asked for a better more personable, professional service during a time when I needed help the most. They took care of everything from start to finish in the most caring, thoughtful, no fuss manner. I appreciated their honesty and transparency, which these days I really value in a service.My mother who is now in her 70’s, needed to move from her townhouse into a retirement village, which required her to significantly downsize. As a very busy mother and full time worker, I had no idea how I was going to help my mother move. The other complication was that I live to far from Mum just to pop down on the weekends to help her sort out her years of accumulated stuff, pack boxes, move and then unpack again. Quite literally, it would have taken me weeks, if not months on end to move Mum. I was overwhelmed, as was Mum, as to where to begin. I felt incredibly stressed and helpless. It was too big a task for Mum and I both to tackle.Fortunately, I found out about Serendipity Moves and the service they offer. I had no idea such a service existed. As it turned out, it was the best thing I could have done. Serendipity Moves were fabulous. I felt the weight instantly lift from my shoulders. They literally took care of everything from woe to go. They offered Mum so much compassion. They took care of the sorting, the packing, the rubbish removal, the cleaning, the moving etc etc. Mum basically moved into her new home without lifting a finger. She walked through the door and everything was set up for her. It was like a dream come true. In my opinion, it was the best money spent. They took care of all the stress, worry and complicated decision making which occurs when moving.Once again, could not recommend Serendipity Moves more highly.
