1000000 stars couldnt come close enough to what this place deserves!After moving to Sydney 1 year ago, our beloved boy Ragnar started showing signs of fear based aggression towards strangers. Now at 2 years old, his behaviour had fully escalated to the point we were unable to have guests over, unable to walk him in public, and most upsettingly he did not recognise people he grew up with. After getting to the point we were needing to crate & muzzle him in a separate room when guests arrived, and he would still try to attack them, we reached out to the team at Guard Dog Training Centre for help to get our beautiful boy back.Kirsten was beyond exceptional from our very first enquiry. She listened to our story, and gave us a range of options to consider, and after finding the right one we booked him in for a 9 day board and train. Kirsten was so helpful, polite and was more than happy to respond to all of my emails when ever I wanted to check in on Ragnar during his stay. This was super helpful to put my mind at ease through the whole process while I was concerned about someone having my aggressive dog for 9 days.Today was the final day of Ragnar's training, and from the moment we walked into the facility to see the results we were completely blown away. Our once aggressive, fearful, protective dog who I could barely restrain on 2 leads was walking around with complete strangers, walking near other dogs and was having the time of his life. To say what these guys have done is incredible, would be an understatement.Brendan brought our beloved boy out, and spent extensive time explaining to us what they taught him, what they worked on, and then ran us through all the corrections we needed to move forward and maintain this correct behaviour. The things they corrected in such a short time, and the skills they imbeded in Ragnar were unbelievable. I was able to walk my dog loose leaded around total strangers and dogs for the first time in a year.Ali, Brendan, Kirsten and everyone else in the team who had a part in Ragnar, we owe you the HUGGEST thankyou for doing everything you did to create the dog I was looking at today.We cannot wait to bring our second dog to you now, and to have Ragnar come visit again soon!For anyone concerned about there beloved big meat heads who are starting to show bad signs, please contact this place! We boarded our great dane x mastiff for 2 weeks and got the obedience training with it.Bear is a rescue we have had for a year. I was very worried about leaving him, because he was in the pound for 3 months. He is a beautiful dog, but had become reactive on walks and at people passing our house. He is an extremely territorial dog and at his size, tends to terrify people haha.We picked Bear up over 2 weeks ago, and he was happy, healthy and so, so well trained. Do not listen to the bad reviews - we had an hour long training lesson when we picked him up, and 5 staff members interacted with him at that time. He wagged his tail like crazy for every single one of them. He spent his entire training session wagging his tail.We can already manage him better, like 110% better. He absolutely adores people, and now easily responds to sit, so he doesn't jump up on them anymore.It had become so difficult to walk him because he would lunge at other dogs, people and cyclists. Walking him now is a DREAM. A handful of corrections here and there but I cannot actually explain how significant the difference is. He walks next to me loose lead, and sits on command. I am FINALLY able to walk Bear Stress free. Even my mum and her friends took him for a walk with NO ISSUES.I am so beyond grateful. He is so, so much easier to manage and at 60kg, that's important. He is as happy and healthy as he was before we boarded him, he was def well looked after. Would not hesitate in the slightest to board him here again. Thank you all so much!

Over 10 years ago the team trained our German Shepherds. One has since passed but the other is such an amazing dog and so obedient still. We have dealt with both Fred and Ali and couldn't be happier. Every time we travel we trust no one else with our boy and when he sees the van he lets himself in. They are a brilliant team and so kind we know they get the best care there.Now they look after Geri our American Dobermann and again amazing!

Highly recommend the Guard Dog Training Centre for boarding your pet. Our dog Daisy loves to stay here, always returning happy and well looked after.We have also opted in for the training package, which helped teach Daisy the basic commands and improved her leash walking immensely. She also receives a refresher every time she stays,

I had 8 months old German shepherd Leo. I sent him to get the full guard dog training with guard dog training centre. In two weeks time when I saw Leo back he was so happy . I was surprised when Brandon and Aidan showed me the Leo skills.Staff is fully cooperative. Ali is great person. He is always helpful with positive attitude.Kristen is great. These guys are amazing. My staffy Audrey is a sweetie but wilful, very naughty and suffering from fear aggression after being savagely attacked. I dropped off a loving pest and 2 weeks later picked up a well behaved, relaxed dog who is no longer medicated. She is receptive to commands and happy and relaxed around other dogs. She still has her loving, joyful disposition. Thank you for looking after her so beautifully and saving my marriage! Lol

I had an approximately 7 month old Husky that needed some obedience training and did a web search for places to go. I came across Guard Dog Training Centre. They seemed reasonably priced for the training I wanted. I rand and dealt with Reece, who was polite, courteous, understanding of exactly what I was after. So I booked Apollo in and he was picked up from home and off he went.They then delivered him home. He seemed happy when he arrived. As he was a bit slow on commands I rang and received a free video conference call and lesson and felt so much better. The staff were so great that I decided to use them again next we went away. Apollo has been there 3 times now and always seems content. I get update calls or if I call to see on how he is going during his stay. I'm so happy with the service at Guard Dog that Apollo is going to go stay there in June when we have to go away. I cannot compliment the staff there enough. I would recommend them to anyone who wanted their dog trained or for boarding.

Guard Dog Training Centre is amazing! I sent my dog to this place for 8 nights of training. He was totally changed on his behaviour, no longer aggressive and so much obedient and calm. I was so happy with their techniques. 1 hr training session with me was also very useful. I will continue to have him boarded when I go on holidays. Great service and professional staff. Highly recommend!
