Hornibrook Bait & Tackle

Would have to be one of the dodgiest shops I’ve been to. There’s a rack with the longer rods next to a ceiling fan, beware when having a look at a rod, if the rod hits the fan you have to buy it. The worst part is, I’m certain I’m not the first person this has happened to and there’s no sign to bring your attention to it either. Very disappointing experience

Always helpful especially with a vast range of local knowledge im not much of a fisherman but most of my friends ate and going there I do recommend it as it has anything and everything to do with getting all your information and advice and purchasing of all necessary equipment required to go and have fun fishing weather its day or night on the beach or creek or boat it is in a location that is perfect and also convenient right across from the beach so yes highly recommended thank you for reading

Since the new owner took over a while ago, this tackle shop has quickly become one of THE best places to go for bait and advice, and various other fishing related equipment such as rods, knives, terminal tackle, lures and more. He is very picky when packaging his bait. He sorts through it and organises it into different quality and size bags. The XXL pilchards are legitimately the best I've ever seen and used. Flawless skin on fresh pillies means fish go ballistic on your bait. I fully encourage everyone to buy their bait here. You'll pay the same as anywhere else but the quality completely outshines everything else. You'll also be supporting Aussie and Local business. If anything, you should at least poke your head in and check out our for yourself. I've been fishing for almost 40 years and I can confidently say this guy has the best bait I've found.

Not only one of the best variety of bait I have seen in Queensland but one of the best quality, I will go out of my way to buy his bait as it's the best around Brisbane, the sunshine coast and even the Gold coast.

Very helpful and nice bloke shame that when you check your invoice you get a surcharge of 1.65 % without telling the customer. This is not good sorry I will not come back I feel like I have been ripped off.
