last year I bought a 1906 Federation house in Stanmore which had extensive rising damp and salt contaminated plaster. GDL stripped the salt contaminated plaster, installed a chemical damp proof course in all external and internal walls, rendered the walls with salt-retardant render and then plaster set the walls. The only visible part of the work is the plaster setting which is to a high quality. Because of the damp soil under the house GDL also installed ducted underfloor ventilation. Six months on the walls have dried and the damp musty smell is gone. I was very pleased with the conduct of the work and I'm very pleased with the outcome.

I hired Glenn at GDL Damp Proofing to do a garage foundation wall in a tight space. He did a great job, no fuss, over the weekend while I was at work. He left the place neat and tidy - a professional job from start to finish. I didn't even have to watch him, he did it right, first time, at a reasonable price. I thoroughly recommend GDL - Glenn is great. I'd hire him again any time I need damp proofing. I have had a lot of tradespeople and most are messy, lazy or incompetent and overpriced. Glenn was the opposite. One of only 2 tradies I've ever been really happy with. The other is my plumber who is brilliant. Glenn is excellent.
