Beautiful inside and out. Great rooms, great service and the breakfast was the best we’ve had. Would look no further when out at Orange again. Pure Qaulity.

I am not sure I could get a better hotel experience anywhere in the world, and I travel a lot. The staff are delightful, rooms are spacious with everything you need and that breakfast OMG…. I am going to try a recreate it here at home. It was one of these best breakfasts’s ever…..there is nothing more I can add to outstanding.

Exquisite design, for sure! Breakfast was good, nothing special. Unfortunately, the place utterly lacks any sense of human hospitality. I won't be returning.

I am a visiting medical specialist who travels to Orange regularly for work and stayed at the Byng street hotel earlier this week. Having got the keys, I went out for dinner and walk returning to the hotel at 10 pm. The key card was not working and I could not get into my room. So I promptly called the 'Emergency number' provided for the hotel guests. To my utter dismay, I was met with a voicemail. After having tried the number approximately 10 times between 10 and 11 pm and leaving about 4 messages in total, I was beginning to realise that no one was going to attend and I would have to find alternative accommodation in the middle of the night. As I was frantically calling the 'emergency number', I came across an elderly man who was also a guest at the hotel wandering the corridor to find someone to give him an extra blanket as he was cold. We both tried to look for one but none were to be found anywhere.Luckily enough for me, I had accidentally taken the car keys with me and I set out on knocking doors of every motel in town. After much disappointment at the first three motels, I found a room at the fourth one, close to midnight. I spent the night at the motel and returned to the hotel at 6.50 am the next morning.I was met by the co-owner of the hotel at the reception who started out apologising but then out rightly lied to my face saying that the phone was off the hook and none of the calls were directed. I was right in front of the phone when I rang the number the previous night; it rang perfectly fine, even displayed my number and then directed my call to her voicemail. The very fact that she had heard my messages and knew what had happened the previous night even before I could tell her anything, negated her 'justification'. Also how such a presumptuous, self professed boutique hotel does not have anyone onsite to help the guests with any unexpected circumstances is beyond me.Cutting short my stay, I checked out of the hotel and was met with the other co-owner at the desk when I handed out the key. When I mentioned that I was checking out, his response was 'Absolutely' and when I tried to enquire about the well-being of the elderly man, his curt response was ' we are aware of the situation'. There was no acknowledgement of what had happened the previous night; not even a simple apology for what I had been put through due to their abject negligence. I was aghast at the level of arrogance and total disdain this person had for his customers. For someone who term themselves as a boutique hotel and charge their customers through the roof, this is totally unacceptable and the by far the worst customer service I have ever had. The cheap motel staff I met the previous night had better manners than the 'Boutique hotel'. I would not even wish my enemies a stay at this place.

Such an amazing hotel. Beautiful decor, heated bathroom floor, spacious room, quiet location yet only a short walk to town & pubs. Loved the evening tea & shortbread, and breakfast was the best of all hotel breakfasts. 5 star in every aspect. Thank you to the lovely staff. I couldn’t recommend this more highly!

The property is awesome, the room was cozy but spacious and very clean, the staff are great and the coffee served at breakfast was the best that I have ever had! I felt like I was being looked after in a home away from home. My best hotel experience to date in Australia.

I stay for 3 weeks for work in this hotel and I love it. The rooms were fantastic. The service was great. Breakfast was excellent too. Really close to all the restaurants in town. I wish that they have microwaves on the room but beside that I wouldn’t change anything.

First class. Spoilt. We loved it and we are going back very soon. Super friendly attentive staff. Try their inhouse dinners. Tasty. Great location for a walk into town or to the amazing gardens park around the corner.
