Nambour General Hospital

Massive thank you to Nurse Tomas, Nurse Paul, Nurse Donna, Dr Nathan, Wardslady Holly - there was at least another 10 staff/beautiful people I didn’t note names sorry! I was taken by ambulance to Nambour Hospital after a traffic accident and was immediately cared for by so many wonderful people, I felt so safe considering I was in a really terrified and vulnerable state with no loved ones with me at the time. My pain was taken seriously and action was taken accordingly and quickly. Wonderful team at Emergency, I am so grateful to you all. Thank you.

Day/overnight surgery unit. All staff involved took the time to explain things. I was apprehensive about my surgery, however, the pre-op staff helped relax me. Post op was great and my overnight nurses and doctors were wonderful. Still polite and caring even though they were busy. PCR staff(nutrition) were great. Thank you all. So far so good.

I want to give a shout out to a Scottish lady named Tracy who works in the mental health part of things at Nambour Hospital. Your professionalism, kindness and open mindedness really helped me come down from that proverbial ledge for the moment. Also the Ambo's were absolute legends. I can't imagine the things you have seen so the fact that you were able to keep a cool head without flying off the handles is extremely impressive and I wish I had your mental fortitude.I know I wasn't able to portray my gratitude in that moment but I really appreciate your support in a professional setting Tracy. Best of luck with everything. I hope you know you're appreciated.

I would like to thank my doctors and all of the nurses, students and auxiliary staff at Nambour General Hospital particularly on Ward 3FE. Professional, polite, and genuinely caring. It was the best hospital experience I have ever had. You are doing something right there.

I would like to say thanks to all the staff in the ED for helping my 8 year old son last night and this morning, couldn't fault anyone, what a great job you do looking after the people that come into the ED for help, when they feel at their worst.All the staff also took care of my 11 year old son and myself. We both slept over with my younger son and the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. Thank you so much.

A fantastic team in the emergency section. I hope the work they selflessly do 24/7 (without a Christmas/New Year break even) is recognised sufficiently.Not somewhere I like to frequent, but you never regret the decision to go when you need to. They make sure everything is checked, are very helpful, friendly, and professional. Michelle and Jess? are the two names I remember, but there were others just as helpful.

My wife was taken here by ambulance from Cooroy. The service and attention from the check in staff to the Nurses and Doctors was simply superb. Every single person who dealt with us was friendly, understanding and polite.
