Beasley's Nursery & Tea House

While the place looks nice and the shops looks pretty, this review is for the cafe. I have a lot of food restrictions and was limited of what I can have from their menu. My husband ordered a burger and I order smashed avo. When they came I was disappointed that there was a bed of feta cheese on top of the smashed avo which I am pretty sure wasnt in the description of dish in the menu. If it was a sprinkle of it, I would have understood that they don’t mention it in the menu, but this is literally a bed of it, like almost as much as the smashed avo was. So I couldn’t eat it and had to swap with husband’s burger, which was a pretty bad burger. While meat patty was soft and juicy, the only sauce visible was tomato sauce in the burger, and inside was tomato slices, lettuce and lots of onion that was soft but not caramelised. It was very underwhelming. Husband also said the smashed avo was pretty bland. Chips were ok. Hot chocolate was too sweet unfortunately. I don’t think we will come back .

I might have been unlucky but the Cafe Latte I had last Sunday was literally undrinkable. Unless you like the taste of an ash tray. I couldn't recommend the coffee here based on my own experience.

Had lunch here and was amazing. Had the Prawns and mango salad and the rolled potato omelette. Lovely. Great setting inside or out. Quick and friendly service.

Delicious food. Dog friendly. Quick Friendly service. Lots of plants around for sale. Calamari was very tender and tasty

Reading some of the other poor reviews, our experience today was very similar. We’ve been coming for 20 years and it seems the service and quality has really gone downhill. We had booked over a week in advance and requested (and advised we could have) an outside table overlooking the nursery. When we arrived, we were put on a table next to the toilets. When we asked if we could sit on another vacant table closer to where we’d asked to be sit, the older lady made us feel like we’d committed some kind of crime. The issues kept coming after this. The poached eggs were overcooked. Our meals and drinks all came at different times, or were forgotten. The menus were missing pages and all had different items. The aircon was off even though it was hot. The nursery is great but won’t be back to the cafe.

My husband and his friends called in for a coffee during their push bike ride and someone forgot to pay so another man had to pay what was owing. It would be much better if you took the order at the counter and people paid for it when ordering. It is for that very reason that my husband and his friends will not be coming back.

Lovely tea rooms, very busy so you must book ahead. The service was attentive and the lunches served delicious. My schnitzel was lovely and all meals served hot. Great surroundings, good for shopping afterwards.I lovely place for a Saturday or Sunday outing (weekly even better) and to take an elderly friend/relative.

It’s a shame the kitchen was closed but the cakes OMG they’re yum! The chai latte was excellent and the staff are all friendly. Was pretty hot today and seated outside but the friendly guy said I’ll move you inside once a table is available, and he did. The nursery has good choices of pots and plants. Coming back is a no brainer. Hopefully , I’ll give a 5 next time when the kitchen is open.

Visited the cafe for lunch today and then had a wander around the plant nursery. Pleasant setting, wonderful staff (thank you to the lovely waitress who went out of her way to cut my Mum's huge vanilla slice in half so she could take half home - much appreciated). Food was tasty and well presented. The female staff member at the cash register in the shop was also friendly and welcoming. All in all, a pleasant experience and we will be back.

The Tea House I have visited many times, and will be honest, for the past 12 months, the food and coffee have had a steady decline. The manager who is mature lady at the tea house is a mixed bag of being polite and utterly rude which I had experienced and thought maybe it's just an off day but I watched and overheard a customer give feedback that her lunch, what looked to be corned beef, was off and did not taste right at the table, the manager ripped through the customer, and I felt embarrassed and belittled and I only witnessed this! I feel sorry for the poor customer that it was directed to who looked shocked and left very quickly after the incident. I honestly won't be returning. It was once a fun place to take my kids for school holidays to the nursery, then cafe and play in the park. But I won't be doing cafe again
