I really enjoyed reading about the war and post war years. So much history that most Australians wouldn't even know about.

I hope nothing even like this ever happens again. Display is informative and thoroughly explains what happened. Photos and physical displays. Really worth seeing at this beautiful old railway station.

Very well presented history of the Hay POW camp during WW2. It occupies two train carriages with one focusing on the Dunera prisoners..quite a poignant story.Donation of $5 is more than reasonable

Very light on in information. Why not play on infinite loop the Dunera Boys movie? Get info from the national archive and arrange in the exhibition. What did the Dunera Boys reflections What's Japanese & Italian POWs got anything to do with the Dunera Boys.

Fantastic, at $5 a head to go in and visit the museum on a self-guided tour, you can enjoy the history of the prisoner of war camps of Hay at your own pace. The train station and platform is a gorgeous architectural building and the tour will expand your knowledge on the POW process during WW2 and timeline of Hay. In the background you can see the show grounds which also played the part of the camps where POWS were housed . Its beautifully set up and the Dunera museum is just one of the many historic sites you can visit in Hay. It may be a small town and looks like a blink and miss it town, but this little town has a lot of hidden gems in it. visit the information centre and go on a journey into the past and present of Hay.The museum is accessible by wheelchair and wheelie walkers as there is a ramp onto the train carts.I don't recall seeing toilets on the premises.
