This is our third montessori school and by far the best as It is the purest form of montessori education we have experienced which we very much appreciate. A beautiful environment, a lovely family community, and we see constant action to improve the school.

Great for starting your kids to fish. Although the lack of Native Hunting did disappoint my kids. I sadly lost them to a tsunami in Bali and without this proper training they had no chance.

Our son has been going to MIC for 4 years now and we're very happy with the guides, the Montessori principles and values. He's engaged with learning and he's thriving.

We went to an open day for this Montessori school expecting an warm and inclusive experience, in particular because Montessori education has its roots formed in teaching disabled children. We were told not to apply because we would be too hard to accommodate. Certainly not inclusive, definitely exclusive with preference given to the children already attending given.

Disappointing experience with our son in junior primary. Early years has great teachers and guidance (age 3-5) unlike upstairs (age 6-8). If you get a teacher and they don’t click with your child, you have to put up with them for 3 years at this Montessori school. We really wanted to stay with an alternative education (ie not public or catholic) for our kids, but we were basically told to put up or ship out, even after voicing our concerns many times over both the teachers and lack of guidance. Great philosophy in Montessori education but we don’t believe this is upheld at this school in our experience and we have also heard the same from others in same class who have left too. This was not the quiet and calm learning environment we understood Montessori to encourage. The Kids have fallen well behind and were not inspired to learn or be challenged. There is no accountability across the teachers and no way to monitor child’s progress or otherwise. Our son was overstimulated when we picked him up each day without adequate correction of behaviours during the day. We don’t believe they uphold Montessori principles and appear to be focussed on running a business.

An amazing school. Both of my boys have been students there since 2014 and absolutely love it. Wonderful teachers and a beautiful environment - with everyone showing so much kindness and respect for one another. My boys are curious about the world around them and their natural desire to learn has consistently been encouraged and allowed to flourish. They are in the primary college now and they look forward to high school, I’m so grateful they can continue their education to Year 12 there with their peers. I can’t recommend this school highly enough.

We have attended MIC since Early Years 8 years ago, the guides have shown commitment and dedication to supporting my children and their learning through each cycle with open communication and deep learning opportunities. Being able to attend a small school has given my children a sense of home and familiarity where they also establish great rapport with their guides after being with them for the 3 cycle. They are not just a number here but known by their name giving them a sense of identity, belonging and safety. As with all children growing up, life has often presented challenges at school with peers and tears and the college has shown nothing but care and concern during those times. These times have always given them opportunities to grow and expand developing skills to know how to resolve problems in the real world. There is no punishment and shame to students here, only respect, natural consequences and responsibility of one's actions. It is also a wonderful place to work with passionate and supportive colleagues!

We've had one child in the school for 6yrs and now a second for 2yrs and it's a lovely community with a great learning philosophy that our kids are thriving in.

I had to leave... I didn't get the education I needed and suffered later in high school. Also doesn't work for kids that have a vendetta against working or learning. Teachers are nice but some don't have the skin required to work with kids... Bullying wasn't much of a problem when I left, but was a problem during my time in the senior primary. Their weird curriculum may cause problems for people trying to get into university or anything in the STEM subjects. Kids who work well with applied subjects like gardening or construction may enjoy some of MIC's opportunities, however these opportunities can get in the way of school work. I didn't enjoy my education at mic but I know a select few that do.
