I had a great experience with Carmen altering my wedding dress to exactly what I wanted! The vision I had for my dress came to life with Carmen’s professionalism and expertise in sewing/dress alterations. Carmen put in extra work after hours which was spent on re-beading, stitching and tailoring my dress to suit my needs! 10/10 service, would recommend to anyone needing dress alterations!

If you’ve come across this review, stop searching - Carmen is the BEST! My dress looks and feels absolutely amazing, she is so thorough while being warm and made me feel gorgeous! I would give more stars if I could, I’m eternally grateful for her amazing work!

Due to buying my wedding dress off the rack and needing it altered to my shape and size, I was absolutely blown away with how incredibly talented Carmen is. It was a fiddly dress and she altered it perfectly, even adding a component to allow me to still breast feed and pump for my baby on the day!! I can highly recommend Carmen and her team, they’re so friendly and welcoming.I will be back with any alterations I may need in the future!Thank you again Carmen x

Amazing service!!! would not recommend a better place to go to for bridal dress alterations. I wanted sleeves added and Carmen managed to find lace that suited my dress PERFECTLY. Your dress is in safe hands!! Extremely well priced, especially for the years of experience and knowledge Carmen has. Very professional and friendly, could not have been more happy with the outcome and service provided.

I am ever so grateful to Carmen. I paid a fortune for a formal dress for my daughter. When we received the dress back I was dissatisfied and the dress looked appalling . I was given Carmen’s number from Ferrari . Carmen was efficient, professional and there was nothing too hard for her. I was told from the previous dress maker that I would have to pay to have the dress changed. Carmen transformed the dress without a cost. I appreciate all that she has done and she has put a smile on my daughters face. Thank you Carmen and I will definitely recommend her a 100%.

It was a true privilege for me to have someone with such a vast career and skill as Carmen to work on my wedding dress. Many times I thought my dream wedding would not be realised because I had so many criteria for the perfect dress. Carmen saved my wedding dreams more than once. She has endless reservoirs of sewing wisdom and can think outside the box to make your dress do what YOU want. Case in point my breathtaking underskirt French bustle. What a comfort it was knowing my dress was in the hands of a TRUE professional! And her assistant Stacey - a powerhouse team they make. Nothing was an issue and I’ll echo the last review in saying that she puts in so many extra hours. I can’t say enough! I am so lucky and blessed to have found Carmen.

I cannot recommend The Wedding Sewer highly enough! Not only is Carmen an expert seamstress, a nicer person you would not come across to look after you if you need alterations. After receiving my wedding dress two sizes too small from a different designer, and 6 weeks out from my wedding, I contacted Carmen in a panic. She was so accommodating and flexible and more importantly, so reassuring that all will be absolutely fine. And it was - I picked up my dress yesterday and it is perfect! I can just imagine all the hours she and Stacey put in to make this happen and her pricing is so affordable as well. Not too mention all the tips she gave me for the wedding day. Carmen, you are fantastic, THANK YOU!!
