I honestly only gave it 3 stars due to the white washing of the historical significance of the area. Sadly, very little Aboriginal history and acknowledgement as evidenced by the photo with the stone tool dating back 20,000 years.

Great little museum with some interesting bits and pieces. The kids were given a treasure hunt activity to engage their interest and a little prize of some colouring pencils.A good selection of local history items and books to buy.Friendly staff, clean amenities and best of all, free!

Didn’t even know this was here, came across it, the staff are lovely and the history is very interesting. Well worth a visit to understand how this area developed. Gives a really good appreciation of the development of north western Sydney and how the Bells Line of road came about.

I took a client there recently, to show them 'The Flabbits'. They were, non believers before they seen the 'Flabbits'. Now, they search the the Hawkesbury, every chance they get, for the elusive Flabbits"."

Ladies at desk were very friendly and welcoming. The museum has been updated since I was there many years ago. It was very well laid out and informative.

The staff at the Museum r polite n helpful, go journey over to Windsor, down at Baker Street. So the famous Frabbits.... Rabbits with eagle wings I think... If memory serves me correctly they had a pin badge saying ' let Frabbits live save Colo George n the maker of the Frabbits I think it was an old councilor by the surname of Roderham my spelling may be incorrect but that's what dad told me when we met the guy many many many years ago n he gave us one of those badges I was a primary kids in those days but I think i loss the badge n apart of history lost in time. The councilor was in his 50 to 60's back then n that was at least 30yrs ago. I wonder if he is still alive. Well back to the Museum it has some of local history not much but enough to entertain your kids so go check it out... It's a blast from the past !!!

Having being born and lived in the area for my first 17 years of my life. Returning for the 150yr anniversary of Windsor Public School. I found the museum interesting with a fair bit of nostalga and history of the local Hawkesbury region. Would recommend it to anyone.

Head off to Windsor and you get a feel of rural village with a modern touch. Be sure to visit this museum and spend some time there to appreciate the history of this area. The museum is run by volunteers who take a lot of interest in explaining things and good collection of how Windsor town has travelled in time.Absolutely recommend the tour of the Howe House and you can see how people used to live the past and you for sure will appreciate the present.
