Moved 1BR apartment from Brisbane to Melbourne in May 2019.Highly recommend! Excellent service both from Jodie in back office and Jeff - the driver.I was quite nervous about picking the right removals company and must have called Jodie about 10x times with different queries and clarifications prior to the move (sorry, Jodie☺️)!!! She was very responsive, polite and patient with me. And most importantly she was upfront and honest about all potential additional costs. REALLY APPRECIATED!Jeff - the removalist and truck driver was punctual, professional and had a great vibe about him. It's a real pleasure to deal with people who take pride in their job!! And fills you with confidence that your things will be taken care of!Thank you, guys! I will not hesitate to use you again for my next move!

****warning - do not use this company****Did inventory with online service and got a quote. On the day of pick up they were 4 hours late. Made up a dodgy excuse - the battery.Called me when I was at the airport to tell me to agree to pay another $1000 or they would leave half of my stuff behind.Then advised it may not get delivered all at once the other end.They also moved my car. It did not arrive until a week later. I had to hire a car for work and a wedding I was attending.My belongings arrived a week after the wedding. I had to buy an entire new wedding suit.Half turned up. Then a few days later the other half. Some stuff missing still and they want me to go get it.So so so bad I’m really shocked that this could be allowed to happen. I will new reporting them to consumer affairs to be reversed for the full car hire, the excess and for damages.

I am not usually moved to write my appreciation and recognition of outstandingly excellent work and good practice, because I have seldom found it. Having recently engaged the services of Lift and Load Removals and reading the horrendous reviews left for them that a Company of a similar name are deserved of, it moved me to review my own experience with Lift and LoadOur whole experience from the initial appraisal to conclusion was nothing short of superb. Each member of the team contributed in some way. They were courteous, helpful and very very efficient. I received a text when the driver was 45 mins away from our property. When he arrived he was well dressed, well spoken and very careful with our belongingsBoth my husband and I are extremely grateful to yourself and your team at Lift and Load as it has resulted in a more than satisfactory outcome and has made the whole process as stress free as the trauma of moving can be

Please note when reading bad reviews they have been mistakenly put on Jodie & Geoff's business in Melbourne. The bad reviews belong to Lift & Load Removalist in Queensland. Also known as Long Distance Mover. They are scammers and thieves.Let me tell you a story:On the 1st November 2018 while under a lot of stress I hired a moving company called Long Distance Mover, to relocate my items from Far NQ. I was contacted by a lady called Terena, she seemed really nice and was very helpful about booking in my date for pick up and answered any questions I had promptly and fully. However, my items were delivered to NSW, the delivery was advised for Thursday 15th November 2018, but it did not arrive this day, but rather 2 days later on Saturday 17th November, while I was out celebrating the wedding of dear friends. I’m a panic I rang a code trusted friend and work colleague to go and let the movers in, to which they obliged. Once I returned home the next day i inspected my belongings to find that I was missing 5 boxes of my items. This is when things took a nasty turn. I immediately contacted Long Distance Movers by calling the driver, but alas no answer or return phone call, I emailed them and it took them over 24 hours to reply to my message, what happened to the helpful and nice people who I dealt with making the booking, they were gone. This was just the beginning of my woes, it took over 6 months for the rest of items to be delivered and even then I have been shorted a box. Long Distance Movers claim they do not have this or that they ever collected in Far NQ. So I am wondering how does a box, I know it is not a large box merely a small one with dimensions of about 40cm X 40cm X 40cm, just disappear. I do not have the box, the box is not at my last place of residence, so I suggest the Long Distance Mover have misplaced this box. The contents of this box are very valuable to me, it contains USBs full of teaching resources as well as some shampoo, soaps and some general cleaning products. I would greatly appreciate its return to my possession, so I would be able to use some of the fantastic teaching resources that are stored in the USB‘s to help educate the great students I teach in this very uncertain times. I have contacted Long Distance Removers on numerous occasions about the box, I have even had the NSW off ice of fair trading contact them as well, I have suggested that they post me the box, or alternatively they could refund me all the money’s paid to them, as they have not fulfilled their end of the deal that was struck when I hired them to move my items. So the great people who I initially felt with just disappeared and blocked my phone number. Leaving me with a small box sized whole in my life. Their only response to me is that it is my fault because I didn’t label my boxes. I had never used a removalist company before and probably never will again after this, they never informed me that I was required to do so

I was purchasing a mobility scooter off eBay for my father but the item was interstate. Lift and Load gave me a very competitive cost (door to door) and so I bid and won the item. The online booking worked very well and their service was top notch. They give a courtesy call, both at pick up and delivery, and kept to the agreed time windows. They are very helpful (especially Jodie) whom I spoke to during the process. Couldn't fault anything. Would definitely use again and would recommend to others. Thanks to all at Lift and load. I was initially pleased with the delivery of my furniture item, the drivers were friendly and on time. However once the drivers had left I noticed that there was quite severe damage on 2 steps of my staircase.I called up the office to explain what had happened and no compensation or let alone an apology was offered. I was basically told that this was the last time they would deliver furniture to “stupid properties” and to take it up with my own home insurance company, or I could proceed to make a claim through lift and load which would cost me $500.I can only imagine the damage caused if I hadn’t provided a truck pad (drivers didn’t bring any pads for the floor). However it wasn’t the damage to my property which caused me to write this review, it was the extremely poor handling of the situation and disappointing lack of customer service.

Great service, my second time using Lift and Load and they are great both times, on time, great communication.Please when reading through their reviews note that there is another company with similar name but very bad reputation - this is not the same company.Lift and Load based out of Dandenong, with Jodie and Geoff - highly recommended!!!

Cannot fault my experience with Lift & Load.I had a sofa delivered to Melbourne from Sydney, pricing was competitive and they wrapped it impeccably to keep it safe. The app to track the driver is so helpful so you don't have to wait at home all day. VERY happy and will definitely use again and recommend to others.

I hope more people do their due diligence with this company. I wish we did! I also wish I could give zero stars! Such a terrible company! Our goods arrived in Sydney today from Townsville and were shockingly damaged! To top it off, along the way they split our shipment without informing us and only less than half of our things arrived! They said the rest are on the way and we only found out about the split after they unloaded our content!!!! What was loaded into the truck in Townsville was not all what was unloaded here in Sydney... only less than half of it was! Things of high value such as our fridge, dining table, mattress, bed frames, washing machine were not delivered when they said they would deliver it. The fact that the delivered contents arrived in terrible conditions does not give us any assurance that we will receive the rest of our things! Already such a loss in value of our contents that arrived. So scared to imagine what damage we'll see with the remaining contents (if they even arrive). Repeated attempts in calling them has failed!
