Glen Iris Medical Centre

Apart from the receptionist being very unwelcoming as other reviews have stated, I was very seriously misdiagnosed at this clinic and ended up in the emergency department the next day.The second doctor I went to couldn’t believe how little treatment or tests were done, it was even as bad as us having to suggest getting our own blood tests (which thankfully was what saved my life.) The same thing has happened to my mother in the past at this clinic with another doctor.Putting this out there if anyone has been and doesn’t feel like they were heard then it’s definitely worth getting a second opinion elsewhere as it could save your life.

The doctors are empathic and have good sound knowledge, and will research something if they are unsure. Nursing staff are helpful. Phlebotomist at the pathology collection Centre is extremely good at taking blood samples with least amount of bruising or discomfort, and even good with children. Admin staff are generally friendly whilst also being no nonsense, and will check reports and try to help as much as possible with all the public health red tape. Will bulk bill locals who are in need and on a health care card/pension, which is great for a community with a mixture of socioeconomic circumstance, and one of the only clinics that do so in the area.Highly recommended service.

My GP here is great, but the main receptionist is next level rude. On multiple occasions, both my wife and I have been left gobsmacked at the service received both face to face at the counter, or over the phone.

Had a wonderful experience today at the Medical Centre with Dr. Frean. He was very thorough, sincere, and very knowledgeable. The reception staff was friendly and the environment also lovely.

Initial contact was pleasant, though it were hectic at the time.Friendly GP, she patiently explains and listens, and very supportive; positive vibes all the way.Front staff were friendly on my way out, as things had died down considerably.Would return again.

Dr Sally Hanson has been our trusted GP for more than 10 years. I recommend her for her genuine compassion and the sheer dedication she shows across any general practice matter. Her gracious personality together with her insights as a woman and wisdom as a parent combine to make her a brilliant GP that we feel so lucky to have in our local community. Thank you, Sally.

This medical centre has an extremely dangerous drive way, which constantly puts passing pedestrians at risk. Twice this week alone I have been bumped by cars while walking past. I honestly believe that you would be safer as a pedestrian walking around the Middle East during an air raid than walking past this business.
