Bakery & Cafe – Banjo’s Cleveland

Just bought 3 small sausage rolls and a pie and was charged $15:40 . Not commenting on the quality but boy a lot of money.

I often stop at this great little bakery in the mornings, and I'm never disappointed. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the food is fresh and delicious. Not to mention, their coffee is pretty good for a franchise. Even during peak periods, the service is quick, which I believe comes down to great training and committed staff who work hard and as part of a team. If you're on the hunt for good coffee and grab n go food early in the morning, look no further than this gem.

I've been coming here for years and the great quality of the products is always consistent. I get the wholemeal sliced bread which has body, texture, and a good crust, and it is one of the best in Brisbane (I've tried it from dozens of places). There is a huge range of sweet treats and pies, with my favourite being the 'house cakes'. These fruit topped dense little cakes are a joy in the mouth. I can also recommend the range of ready made sandwiches and rolls, they are super fresh with tasty fillings.

What used to be one of the better coffee stops in Cleveland has become very average. Never seemed to come back to the previous quality after covid. Today my wife received a resin toast in a cardboard box without even butter on the top. My coffee had no froth and tasted like warm milk. No more table service and drinks supplied in paper cups. Very average.

Really friendly staff and super tasty food. The potato pie is awesome! Loads of flavour and the pastry is perfect.

Banjo’s products are known for their delicious treats! However I would like to take this opportunity to highlight the amazing customer service. Hosting a afternoon tea for elderly friends and neighbours my purchases amounted to a few trays of pasties . With no hesitation the staff noticed that I use a walking aid, they offered to carry my purchases to my car . This is an exemplar of old fashioned customer service and only adds to the positive experience when shopping at Banjo’s Cleveland .

Ordered platters for my mums 80th birthday high tea. It was absolutely brilliant. The sandwiches were so tasty and such good value for money. Very impressed with Banjos Cleveland and will be using them again in the future. Keep up the good work :)

Sunday 14:00 - shop looked really inviting (recent makeover?), service was very friendly and fast - very knowledgeable young staff, coffee was very good and the traditional “bakery style food” was great. We enjoyed the peppered beef pie and raspberry tart but we could have easily ordered almost everything on display as it all looked good. Pastries all looked sooooo tasty.I’ll certainly be having a bay walk then a cheeky pastry at Banjo’s often in months ahead.

Checked out Banjos Bakery Cleveland as the leg of our pie crawl. We ended up ordering the double cheeseburger pie ($7.95) on the recommendation of the staff who served us, and also because this is what a fellow crawler really wanted to have all along. I have to say that I kinda had my doubts about this creation and that was more or less confirmed. It's ok... I mean it's a pie that has a cheeseburger-y taste, but I'd rather my pies be pies and my cheeseburgers be cheeseburgers. The pastry on this was also not as crisp as some others we had on our crawl, though that could be because we had this one later in the day?Also bought a plain meat pie ($5.50) for the boy. It wasn't filled to the brim with mince, but was sufficiently tasty from the little morsel I got to taste - was expecting to have to mop up whatever he couldn't finish, but he pretty much ate the whole thing. I think he got the more satisfying pie of the two we bought! Will definitely go more standard/classical options next time.
