Arrived late on a Saturday evening 7:45pm early March. Was quiet but perfect.We were served quickly and had our meals within 5 mins as there weren't many other customers.The food was incredible. Satay king prawns and a massaman beef that was so tender and the curry sauce was rich and full of flavour and the serves were very generous.When everywhere else in Tea Gardens/Hawks nest was closed we were warmly accepted even though they closed at 8.30pm.

Amazing food, beautiful ambience with lots of indoor plants,all managed single handed by a lovely lady who not only takes orders but cooks, serves and even clean all by herself.Incredibly impressed!!

Cute chilled atmosphere. Yep the lady who cooks also serves so service can take time. But be patient because the food is tasty.

The food is pretty average but it’s still good when you consider how small town this place is.The service isn’t great because the one who’s cooking serving the food too, they’ve no training on customer service, tbh this isn’t Sydney or Melbourne where they can afford to have a dedicated wait staff, this is a great restaurant run by a old lady and they’re trying to the serve the community, the food is delayed because they don’t have enough staff so the demands of the restaurant is almost nothing. They are barely making money!!

I'm sorry folks, I hate leaving bad reviews. The food here was fine, above average even. However, wait staff could do with training in customer managing - but most importantly the kitchen is incredibly understaffed or crazy slow. It took an hour to get 4 fish cakes out for an entree. The restaurant was not full, there were no deliveries being picked up, and take away was not a factor. The menu is simple, no crazy difficult Thai dishes (drop fried whole fish etc), many dishes having the same vegetable base. My comment on wait staff was due to the most competent seeming staff member being AWOL, and another member who seemed to be in training was way out of her depth. No information on order status was forthcoming, the table of 5 that left before us was left uncleared for 35 minutes. For the price you pay, the venue appearance is on point (quite cute!) - but kitchen speed and service in general need an upgrade. Yes, fully appreciate it is a tourist town, but I'm sure they realise too. Sorry restaurant folks, you have a licence to print money there - you just have to invest, improve and promote. Excellent food! Totally worth the wait. We had a big group takeaway order and all of the food was fresh with full flavour. Next time we’re in town we will be back!
