As a person trying to get into the glockenspiel, this place had wonderful service with the two gentlemen at the counter, answering a barrage of questions I had and recommending me mallets and a beginner’s book for a good hour. It was a great experience.

I love visiting this store, whether it's just browsing or actually purchasing something. The staff are incredibly polite and kind, and they're incredibly helpful. They know what they're doing and they know what the products are so they can help you. They also don't just leech for money; they tell you what they think would be best for you. So if you're a beginner like I am at playing an instrument, they'd suggest something to match your ability. If you've only been playing for a short while, they won't throw $50-$70 instruments and whatnot in your face right off the bat when you don't need something that expensive. You should definitely drop by here to purchase any of your instrumental needs since you'll also save quite a bit of money from their discounts.

There were a few hicups with shipping which wasn't their fault and the owner went above and beyond to find me my Ocean Drum. Really thankful for how they went out of their way for me. Thank You.

Amazing helpful staff, allowed me to play test their only clarinet without hesitation.Highly recommend for any percussion purchases (as their band instrument department is almost non existent; this is not a criticism, they've just chosen to focus on percussion)

I went in to pick out a gift for my friends’ birthday on Saturday (just before closing time), however the staff was extremely nice and helpful and gave me great advice and didn’t seem like they want me to leave due to the time. They provide great customer service and even offered for me to come back for exchange if my friend didn’t like it.Unfortunately I never got the guys name, but just wanted to thank you! :) and my friend really liked the gift.I hope you guys have a wonderful day!

I visited the store today with my wife to check out some drum thrones and man I was amazed on the quality of service these guys provide! The attention to customer service and there deep knowledge is definitely A++.Keep up the good work!

Shopped at Optimum over the years. Do their best to look after customers whether schools, orchestras / bands, students, hobbyists or professionals. They are an integral part of Australia's percussion community.
