Long standing small business-They have a great variety of handles from old traditional to modern styles-The staffs are helpful.They are slightly old-school, but guess what? That's how it makes the store character.Thanks for helping me to find the right handle :)

Be prepared to spend an hour waiting for service - need more staff & faster service. When there is a queue of ppl don’t go thru house plans to see how many handles someone needs!

Fantastic knowledge and range of products. The staff are direct, not afraid to give their opinion and answer all your questions before moving onto the next customer. You can wait a little while for service but they are attentive and not trying to sell you everything in the shop. They have a much bigger range than the hardware stores.

I'm perplexed by any 5 star reviews?? They have a decent range but absolute poor customer service skills. Yes, they are busy at times but that is no excuse for absolute rudeness!!! I've been in the store on more than one occasion including when they are not busy. Last visit, after being called to be served, the guy tended to a service phone call and left me hanging for 15 minutes. Don't dare ask for anything they don't have on display, ask for the brand name of the item on display or ask a question. Be prepared for moody, unprofessional, flustered, discourteous, blunt service attitude.

I had a disappointing experience today.I’m trying to match a handle from the 70’s and took my old handle and cover plate in and as the circlip type has changed over time I was told that it wouldn’t work as the old one had a pressure single application type clip on it.After demonstrating the difference they told me I could order it in and see if it fitted.No support to try with current stock to ensure it will be compatible.

We came here for handles and mortice locks to suit our old doors (different measurements to modern doors). After pleading our case to John, he asked us a couple of questions so that they could work out what our taste and budget was. His suggestions were on point and even suggested a better way of doing it to both save us money and get a better looking result.We are very very happy and won't go anywhere else ever again!

The telephone manner of one of the staff members from this store leaves a lot to be desired!The gentleman I spoke to seemed completely disinterested in my requirements ... with a most condescending attitude ... and an air of arrogance. This initial contact was enough to deter me from shopping at this store.I believe, that what needs to be kept in mind by providers of such disappointing service, is that a potential 'small' purchase today, may be just the beginnings of a very much larger purchase in the future ... or in this case ... no purchase at all.I genuinely hope that some benefit will come from this critique in terms of improvement to customer service.
