Golden Lor Ripley Chinese restaurant and takeaway

First time I ordered a few weeks ago we absolutely loved it but this time we ordered by phone and was told 20 mins. We waited over an hour and the food was nowhere near the same quality. Was quite disappointed.

Most disgusting food I have EVER paid good money for. Battered pork in a paper bag, more batter than pork, served with a small tub of bottled sauce containing only 1 piece each of uncooked onion, carrot, pineapple and capsicum. If I could give no stars I would. NEVER AGAIN.

This is our favourite take away! Lately however, they have been getting really busy which means you’re waiting 45mins + for food. Need to find more cooks guys! Plan ahead and order early. Also need a bigger takeaway drinks variety to go with meals.

Golden Lor is a Chinese restaurant that I recently had the pleasure of dining at, and I have to say, it was an outstanding experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with friendly and courteous staff who quickly showed me to my table. The ambiance was lovely with traditional Chinese decor, and the restaurant had a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.The menu was extensive, and I was excited to try some of the traditional Chinese dishes on offer. I decided to go with the Chili chicken, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was cooked to perfection, with a perfect blend of spices and flavors. The dish was accompanied by steamed rice, which was fluffy and perfectly cooked.The service was excellent throughout the meal, with the waitstaff attending to all our needs promptly. The prices were reasonable and very much worth it for the quality of the food and service.I also had the pleasure of trying out the restaurant's dim sum, which was delicious and had a wide variety of options to choose from.Overall, I had a great experience at Golden Lor, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent Chinese dining experience. The quality of the food, ambiance, and service was fantastic, and I am looking forward to visiting again soon.

CHRIST! This place is good!!! Like, honestly so good! And it got even better when they catered to GF requirements (yes I'm one of those!)I've been a couple of times with Husband and Mother and both times the food has been so tasty and fresh. Currently eating the BBQ Pork in Plum Sauce and Coconut Rice, and OOFT! Oh my!! The meat is tender, the rice is just coconutty enough and the sauce is amazing! I thought getting plum sauce it'd be sweet, and it is, but it isn't overly sweet!!!Reasonably priced, friendly service! Will return a third time!

Don’t trust their quoted wait times if you’re ordering online. “30 minutes” turned in to an hour an 20. For the price your paying go eat out somewhere nice and get it in half the time.

We decided to try their food last night and I must say it was very nice. Our order was fried rice, spring rolls braised chicken with cashews and stir fry and curry chicken with rice, all was very yummy with good size servings. The staff also was very friendly

Food was good, but a word to the wise - the food is delivered straight from the kitchen extremely hot. Enjoy the sight of your food for a few moments before enjoying.Prices are fair and the staff are friendly enough. The portion sizes are larger than else where so great if you have a big appetite.
