Had a spoil-myself day and decided to do some work at Hobba, as I read that it was a good place to work from. The warehouse conversion cafe has a really nice feel, the glass front and skylights let in a lot of natural light and it doesn't feel cramped at all. It was a very good place to get some writing done.Food wise, I had the smashed avacado and it was fine. Nothing to write home about, but nothing wrong with it either. The chai latte was served with the leaves and a strainer, how I like it, so no complaints there. I probably should have chosen something more exciting off the menu for the proper experience. Would come back for the atmosphere though.

Had a nice lunch meeting here with my business colleague and the venue was great.The staff was friendly and the foods were really nice and tasty.The place had a good vibe too which was an added bonus.

Cool place with a great vibe. The space is great, light & airy, with booths or tables, some along the wall with charging stations - nice touch!We wanted a breakfast/brunch place but somewhere we could also get items to take away for our day out to Werribee Open Range Zoo, well Hobba ticked the boxes on all counts and then some!My husband was on a mission to have the Hot Cakes after seeing the photos on various reviews. WOW! These are on another level of yummy decadence. My daughter & I immediately had food envy so we all had to have a bit!Straight away our daughter said, ‘Can we come again tomorrow?! I want to have Kids Hotcakes!’ Errrr - that was a firm YES! We ended up coming back twice more, one of which was our last stop on the way to the airport to catch our flight back to Sydney!!It was soooooo worth it and a real highlight of our trip to Melbourne.Coffee is fantastic too, as is the service, attentive without being overbearing.Thanks Hobba! Can’t wait to come back again!

Tried the Ranchero Eggs $24.This is a cleverly curated plate of sizzling fried eggs, guacamole, black beans, tomato and lime salsa, fresh herbs, mojo verde tortillas & ricotta.Healthy alternative without meat.The coffees are also very nice here and the service is good.

Divine and healthy chicken salad. Friendly service. Great coffee and caramel slice. Cool environment. Only loses one star as it was too loud for me personally with pumping music.

The place was bustling with people but tables were turning over fast because of the quick service. We had made a reservation (thankfully!) so got seated very quickly.Ordered the crab omelette and hobba hotcakes. Both really good. The coffee was very nice too.

Totally forgot to take photos for brunch here. Kids loved the avocado smash, and we tried the green bowl and the special - BBQ beef brisket.Overall the food was fairly average, with the BBQ brisket being very very sweet (mushrooms were done really well though!). Super busy and seems to be very popular with the local working crowd.

One of My favourite places in the neighbourhood! Consistently good food and coffee, excellent service and a fabulous function room for bigger events. John is an exceptional manager and his team has always been welcoming, kind and attentive.

Lovely spot for brunch! Hotcakes were so filling. The deconstructed chai was well presented and fun to make yourself! We got in quickly although it was busy, service was excellent.

Delicious coffee and chicken panini, the spinach slice could've been heated up more. The hot cake was very good but too sweet towards the end even between two people. Friendly service and very spacious environment. The prices of the menu were quite good too. Will want to try the halloumi fritter next time.
