Five star's isn't enough. Service is great. Staff are great, polite, friendly, cheerful, great with the kids and food is always fast and lovely, well priced. A member of staff even drove out a couple of Km's to jump start my motorbike when I was stuck once. Now that's service. Prices pretty good for a small general store which stocks a fair amount for a little store. Expanding to an even larger store so watch this space...

Advertise closing at 7.00 pm and give you a cold shoulder and get lost at 6.00 pm. Won’t answer their phone to take a take away order or tell you that they are closing early!!!!!! Give them a big miss .

Good general store/ supermarket, easy access and friendly staff. Have all what we needed and a reasonable bottle shop. Prices are as per any supermarket, not elevated for tourists.

Surprisingly rude at Pekish Pelican CafeStaying in Coffin Bay for the weekend. Had a nice experience 6 months ago at this cafe but today's experience (Sunday 8/8/21) left a bitter taste in my mouth. Writing this review so hopefully the owners will see it and might also ring them. I was surprised to see still no website or google listing for the cafe so couldn't see its opening hours. Saw online that IGA was open from 7 so decided to drive down and try my luck at 745 to get a couple of take away coffees. There were no opening hours written on the front of cafe and I could see a staff member inside so knocked even though door was locked. Staff member completely ignored me!! I assumed it must be closed but just wanted to ask of I could leave my reusable cups and come back later to pay and collect without having to wait. Have a couple of young kids and live in the country myself so used to friendly customer service l. I looked it up on my phone to see if there was a number so I could just leave the cups outside, but when I tried the number, it was only IGA so my only hope was to ask in person. I still thought maybe she just hadn't seen me but a staff member from IGA went in to give her sthg and obviously told the cafe staff member I was there, and she STILL chose to ignore me!! Fair enough if she couldn't open the doors or didn't want to take my order, but at the very least it wouldn't be hard just to look up and say 'sorry, we're closed'. Afterwards I thought, what if I was trying to tell her sthg important, like there was a problem outside, or ask for help cos I was in trouble!! Or what if I was going to come back with twenty people or sthg but justhad a question!! Anyway, maybe the staff member had a bad experience or was having a bad day or sthg but come on, JUST BE NICE and don't ignore your customers. Especially if your business doesn't display opening hours, or have a phone. Needless to say, will be keeping my custom for places that treat me with a minimum of respect and acknowledge my existence!

Great position, but missing a golden opportunity in securing a niche market and reputation.Ordered scone, jam and cream with a coffee.Watched the staff member leave the coffee shop and go and buy a tin of artificial cream.Scones arrived. After taking one bite, I set them aside for fear of breaking a tooth. Almost inedible. Rubbery and tough as boots, from, I’m assuming, being frozen and heated in a microwave oven.Coffee was nice and hot.

Best Fish & Chips in Oz!! Apart from the price, they could have been in NZ. The fish was Flake, batter was perfect and not greasy!
