Feb 2023: incredible sashimi and karage chicken - maybe the very I've had. Great selection of sale and authentic atmosphere. Service decent but not great. The yakitori however was average. Seems like their charcoal was not hot enough as very little char / Maillard / exterior crisp on anything.

4.5 overall! toro wasn't fully defroze, ox tongue was overcooked a bit. Everything else was nice.

A small cozy Japanese restaurant serving fresh seafood. A good place for drinking and snacking just like you n Japan!Must try their Otoro (Fatty tuna) Wagyu Foie gras and their grilled meats.

Food is delicious, staff is friendly. I would say a little bit overpriced overall, but would still recommend it. We seated on the shared table, which was ok but it would be better to have individual tables on that space

Extremely delicious and authentic Japanese cuisine. Their lunch special is of really good value as well! We had the Chicken Nanban, Chirashi Sushi and Vege Tempura Sets, which were accompanied by sashimi and other entrees.

Speaking as someone who lived in Japan for 10 years: This place is probably one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in Sydney in terms of taste and environment. My partner and I throughly enjoyed our set menu. A few things I’d like to point out:- The popcorn lobster dish is probably created to suit Australian‘s tastebud.- The sushi rice was on the harder side, which contradicted my memories of all the sushi experiences I had in Japan.- The foie gras did not taste good/fresh.- They have a very strict 2 hour dining limit which is a bit short if you go with a course menu, considering we had to wait in between dishes.Other than that, most dishes taste great and we would definitely go back to try other dishes..!
