Just Cuts

I have been going to just cuts Grand Central ( next to the Bank of Queensland) for nearly 2 years and I always ask for Chiaki. She styles my hair a little differently each time which I just love. At the moment my hair is fairly short. Chiaki has seen me fully grey, coloured, and longer styles. She goes with the flow and cuts my hair beautifully. She offers me advice on my dry hair and of course we chat about life. I highly recommend Chiaki next time you want your style cuts.Regards Deb

I’ve been using Just Cuts for many years and around 5 years ago I was lucky enough to find Chiaki in Toowoomba. I can totally recommend her. Her attention to detail and skill in cutting is extraordinary. I always walk out feeling a million dollars and after a great laugh in a better mood than when I went in. Just Cuts prices are great too, so I’ll see Chiaki in 6 weeks. Cheers

Had a great experience Chiaki today. She styled my sons wayward hair but kept the length he wanted then did an amazing job on my own hair. We discussed what I was after and she made some suggestions to match my face shape and encouraged me to take a leap and try having tracks. I’ve always wanted them but never had them. She did an absolutely amazing job and I love my new style so much. She suggested I coloured my bleach blonde hair where the tracks are they stand out more, I had planned on colouring anyway so it was perfect timing. All staff at both stores have always been very friendly and encouraging. It’s the only place I’ve gone on a regular basis for over 10 years

I have been regular customer of Chiaki at Just cuts Toowoomba on ground level for more than 5 years, as have all 3 of my children and many friends and family that I have recommended her excellence to (more than a dozen)Every single time without fail, my children, myself, and the people that I have a recommended Chiaki to walk out completely satisfied with Chiaki‘s Service. My neurodivergent son has never been able to tolerate a haircut without distress ( sensory issues), Chiaki is the only person who has been able to successfully cut my sons hair since a young child. She provides an exceptional level of individualised person/customer centred services that gives my son a feeling of calm when in her chair, with zero distress.Not only is Chiaki an exceptional Hairdresser, she is an incredibly genuine and beautiful person, who brings a smile to many faces.On the other hand, I am not one to leave negative reviews, however, as this is a reoccurring issue I feel it needs to be addressed. For a very long time, any time I have come into the store with staff member Maurice there, especially if I’m requesting Chiaki’s services, I and others are met with a sour attitude from him.He is rude, dismissive and abrupt, whose ego gets in the way of retaining customers.He has told me in the past that I can’t request Chiaki specifically ( even though I have for many years) and has told 2 of my family members the same. I have observed him on many occasions rolling his eyes towards Chiaki when she’s interacting with customers, and other obvious indirect bullying behaviours towards Chiaki. It appears there may be some some jealous?… regardless of the reason for his attitude and awful customer services, The entire feel of the store is “yuk” when Maurice is present, and I now refuse to enter the store if he is working, as do a few of my family members.3 reoccurring customers that I have recommended Chiaki services to refuse to go back to just cuts purely before of Maurice’s attitude and behaviours, and that upsets them because they absolutely love Chiaki’s work.I can only imagine how many others customers are in the same position and how many customers Just cuts has lost because of his behaviours and attitude.

Took my son to Just Cuts near the food court today. He has sensory issues, and I have never been able to get him near a hair salon. The ladies at Just Cuts were fantastic. My son sat and watched Bluey, while Anita cut his hair. She was patient and kind, understanding of his needs. Thank you so much, we’ll definitely be back!

I had really bad tangled matt of hair due to depression and anxiety Tilila the hairstylist was so gentle and understanding of my situation she showed my hair love and care and sid the best that could have done. She was so loving kind non judgmental and patient. I am so thankful and would recommend 100%. She didn’t even take advantage of my situation to over charge me but instead gave me the best rate of her time and love.

I’m a regular customer, for a monthly haircut, at Just Cuts Grand Central. Chiaki is the hairdresser who does the job. I have always found her skilled, efficient, very polite, cheery and with a great sense of humour. Chiaki is a very good, hard-working experienced professional who takes great pride in her work and in having a very welcoming salon. She shows excellent people skills. In Chiaki’s salon, a haircut is always a pleasant quarter-hour.

Came in to get my haircut because my wedding is coming up, this is how I was left. My hair is completely ruined I have bits that are as short as my chin and others down to my shoulders. I’m very upset that I am going to have to cut a lot of my hair off to fix this.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Chiacki is the one reason I keep coming back, she is the only one I trust with my hair. Not only that, the whole experience when I am with her is amazing, she makes me laugh, remembers my name - despite how long it is between visits. She is honestly the heart and soul of the salon. She is simply irreplaceable and wherever she goes, I will go. I’m constantly recommending her to friends & family. Thanks for everything chiacki! ♥️ love Kim.
