A large and very friendly markets with a fantastic mix of stalls. Lots of produce direct from the farmers, good quality plant stalls, and arts and crafts. Worth the drive from Cairns.

Mareeba Markets
The Mareeba Markets now being held at the Racecourse venue is perfect, plenty of shady trees in the carpark and around the markets themselves. The food stalls in front of grandstands about the only ones not shaded, but then you have grandstand seating to relax and eat your food. Seems to be a lot more variety of stalls, only thing missing was the Heritage Cafe and Art Gallery.

Great local market. Plenty of community groups, local art & produce and, sadly, cheap imported junk.Has purveyor of fine gluten free vegan donuts.Ukulele orchestra was a treat.Plenty of parking to south.

Mareeba Markets
The Mareeba market showcases some of the best entrepreneurs on the Tablelands. There is a variety of stalls ranging from education to pottery, to plants and to food, with a whole lot of others in-between. The setting of the market is beautiful and peaceful amongst the native Australian trees. There is ample parking and something for everyone.
