Been coming here for at least 40 years, these are the 3rd owners since I've been coming here and obviously are great at what they do seeing how they've been there for almost half of the 40 years!

I’ve been a long term customer of Berkeley West Takeaway. I don’t know what’s happened since their name change but there is new staff. They used to have the best chips, not anymore. Their chips are drenched in oil and are disgusting, the past 3 times they have looked like this. Last visited 18 February 2022. What happened to your crisp, pale, delicious chips or is it the cook who needs to learn not to rush and over cook orders? Please read this review and take on board what your customers are saying, seriously miss your chips. .

I was a long time customer, until recently. Everything was horrible, look at the photo below. Chips were ridiculously oily, everything was soggy and what's with all the crumbs throughout? Oil is very old; owner has jacked up the prices and the quantity of chips has decreased, what was a small is now a large; I feel sorry for the one worker behind the counter, under-staffed and busy at lunchtime.

Ordered through menu log they gave order to wrong person got a call from menulog telling me what happened nothing from the shop with an apology now cant get a refund for a min off 10 days $63 never again from there lousy service

The prices in chips is ridiculous. I just spent $47 and $30 of that was on chips, frozen and uncooked. Very disappointed. Last visit

Never been here before, just in town for something else and we were starving. As other reviewers have said, oily soggy chips, I mean look at the pic. Scallops had chewy parts, undercooked and soggy like the chips. I also asked for chicken salt and there was hardly a sprinkle.. I mean they couldn’t even get that right. 100% skip this place. There was a kebab shop nearby, take a gamble and go there, it can’t be worse than this.
